We reject Muslim Family Laws bill. Chief Justice must take notice of legislation against the principles and faith of Shia Fiqah - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, December 4:  After rejecting the Muslim family Laws bill, the leader of Maktab e Tashayyo and Chief of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the continued intervention and legislation made against the faith and ideologies of Maktab e Tashayyo. “We are peace loving people but never compromise on our rights. Agendas of Pakistan’s enemies must not be completed by sabotaging the two-nation theory of Pakistan. Even personal law is being snatched from the founders of Pakistan. Some forces are trying to prove American report on religious freedom as true” he stressed while addressing to a meeting of TNFJ’s Core committee.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that certain forces are bent upon destroying the founding ideology of Pakistan since its creation and therefore, trying to get the rights of different sects, provinces, and races confiscated to nullify Pakistan’s foundation. He said that despite getting rejected twice by the standing committee of the Senate of Pakistan, the disputed bill was approved in the joint session that is against the spirit of democracy and constitution. Acts like introduction of disputed curriculum, sanctions on Azadari, amendments in Shia books, banning of Nohas and Majalis and continued discriminatory legislations are all reviving the memories of Zia ul Haq’s martial law. One must not forget that during the Zia’s martial law, we staged eight-months long agitation and offered fourteen thousand arrests to thwart conspiracy against the founding ideology of Pakistan and will never stay quiet on similar attacks now, he warned. Meanwhile, preparations have started for Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya’s Supreme Council meeting.
