In accordance with “Hafta e Azmat e Mohammad O Aal e Mohammad (pbut)”, protests were held against the blasphemy of the Holy Quran

Protection of the Holy Quran is the duty of the Muslim nation – Address of Allama Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Wasif Ali Pasha, Hussain Muqadsi, Abul Hassan Taqi and others to the protest rallies

RAWALPINDI, April 16: In accordance with the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi’s announced “Hafta e Azmat e Muhammad O Al e Muhammad (pbut)”, protests were staged against the blasphemy of the Holy Quran and insult to the heroes of Islam. In the assemblies of Jumma Prayers the Ullama and Zakireen highly condemned the continued terrorism, target killing and drone attacks. They also denounced the hypocritical attitude of Muslim leaders and their inaction over the open blasphemy of the signs of Allah and the policies of infidels against Islam. They declared the blasphemy to the signs of Allah by the west as an organized action to disturb the harmony between humanity and the religions of the world.  They demanded from the International organizations that they should legislate against those who blaspheme any divine book, including the Quran, all religions and  their heroes. They also demanded that blasphemy should be declared a crime and that its penalty should be rigorous punishment.

A rally, organized by Mukhtar Organization (MO) was held after the Jumma prayer from Jammia Masjid Qasr e Abu Talib Rawalpindi Cantt, was led by Allama Syed Mohsin Ali Hamdani, District President MO Wasif Ali Pasha, Allama Syed Fazal Abbas, Chaudhri Mushtaq Hussain, Dr. Nazir Naqvi, MH Jafferi, Saleem Bangash and other members of MO.

While addressing the protesters Allama Syed Mohsin Ali Hamdani said that if the Muslim nation had made an example of Salmaan Rushdie for his evil done, Muslims would have not faced events like the demolition of Babari Masjid, illegal annexation of Jews at Al Quds and the burning of the Holy Quran would never have been dared by the accursed pastor.

He demanded from the international organizations to fulfill their responsibility to stop evil powers from insulting the Prophet of Islam, its divine books and its heroes as well as other religions. He said that it is the responsibility of all  Muslims to protect the dignity and sanctity of the Holy Quran including Islamic library and religious personalities. Protesters echoed the slogans of “Quran; the book of revolutionary teachings” and “Accursed American pastor should be hanged”. After the procession the protesters peacefully dispersed.

While addressing thousands of people at Jumma congregation, the president of TNFJ provincial council Punjab, Allama Syed Hussain Muqadsi, , reminded those gathered that it is a matter of great grief and anxiety for the whole of humanity - and specially for the Muslim nation - that the infidel world is out to insult the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet (pbuh&hhp) and that although pious personalities of Islam are continuously blasphemed under an organized plan, no action has been taken so far. In the resolution, the burning of the Holy Quran by American pastor Terry Jones and the hypocritical and cowardly reaction of Muslim leaders was highly condemned. It was made clear in the resolution that it is just because of the weakness of Muslims that the accursed pastor has not changed his thinking about his actions towards the Quran, Islam and prophets of Islam and whose disrespectful attitude can lead to a new wave of insult.

Allama Syad Matloob Hussain Taqi, while addressing Jumma congregation at Jammia Masjid Kazmia Choar Harpal, quoted the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi who said that had Muslims given an exemplary punishment to Salmaan Rushdie, no evil power could have ever dared to blaspheme any signs attributed to Almighty Allah ever again. He stressed upon the Muslim world to come out of the state of selfishness and put the interests of the Muslim world over everything and for this purpose they should first themselves respect the signs attributed to Almighty Allah and then should stop the enemies of Islam disrespecting.
