RAWALPINDI, March 3: Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has strongly condemned the heinous murder of Shahbaz Bhatti the federal minister for minorities and termed the sad incident a crime committed by the enemies of Islam and Pakistan. He said that those who committed this crime are trying to portray an arrogant picture of our beloved homeland and want to indicate that minorities are not safe in Pakistan. In a statement issued from the head quarter of Maktab-e-Tashayyo, Agha Moosavi said that murders of a federal minister and governor of Punjab in the capital of Pakistan are certainly a question mark. He said that yesterday’s claims by the interior minister about apprehending prominent terrorists have been exposed by today’s incident. Agha Moosavi reminded that the rulers and leaders are only concerned about power and kingship and playing political dramas to divert the attention of the common man. He stressed that everyone must remember that killing of an innocent is considered oppression and brutality by Islam and therefore it has instructed to maintain righteousness and justice for non Muslims also. Quoting the Sura Maeda of the holy Quran, he said that Almighty Allah has ordered that one must not be unjust towards any nation even incase of enmity against it, and do justice because it is nearer to the Taqwa (piousness). He said that this is the reason that an Islamic government is bound to protect the rights of non Muslims. Agha Moosavi said that the holy Prophet of Islam has warned that if a Muslim will commit aggression against a non Muslim, size his right or snatch his belongings by force, I (the holy Prophet) will be the advocate of that non Muslim on the Day of Judgment. He said that Islamic government is duty bound to protect the lives and belongings of non Muslims living under its administration and any kind of discrimination between a Muslim and non Muslim is not allowed in this regard. If a Muslim kills a non Muslim, its revenge and punishment will be exactly similar to the case where a Muslim is killed. He said that respect and honor of the non Muslims has been guaranteed by Islam while disrespect to a non Muslim is strictly forbidden. Similarly, under an Islamic government, non Muslims are free to perform their religious ritual according to their own ideologies. According to Abu Ubaida, the residents of those cities which were conquered by force, were free to practice their religious customs according to their own beliefs (Kitab ul Amwal). Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya said that condemnation of the brutal murder of Shahbaz Bhatti to any extent is less. Agha Moosavi said that had the banned groups dealt with iron hands, and the government and opposition were not maintaining ties with those banned organizations, they we would have been able to control the terrorism while getting rid from the colonial powers and making our beloved homeland Pakistan a hub of peace was also possible. Agha Moosavi stressed upon the whole nation to stay united and exhibit patience, tolerance and forbearance. He also reminded to stay alert from the heinous conspiracies of the evil forces working against the Pakistan and assured that the plans of the enemies of Pakistan can be effectively countered by unity and solidarity
