While giving priority to the grief of Imam Hussain (PBUH) the fortieth day (chehlum) of the martyrs of the incident of Dhoke Syedan will be observed after 8 Rabiul Awwal – Allama Zahid Kazmi The heartless criminals behind this crime must be brought to justice; the federal government should compensate victims and should also provide health facilities for injured on its expense; the administration displayed incompetency during the enquiry of the incidents; in this regard no further developments were made and those who laid their lives did so in vain – press conference of the committee of the martyrs of the incident of Dhoke Syedan RAWALPINDI, December 27: The chairman of the committee of the martyrs of the incident of Dhoke Syedan, Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi said that while giving priority to the grief of Imam Hussain (PBUH) the fortieth day (chehlum) of the martyrs of the incident of Dhoke Syedan will be observed after 8 Rabiul Awwal. If anything goes wrong on Chehlum then we would not going to take responsibility for the consequences. We are thankful to those who personally helped the victims and are also obliged to the chairman Bait al Maal, Zumurad Khan and Malik Ibrar who took part in the funeral of martyrs. He stated this while addressing to the press conference. On this occasion Allama Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Allama Syed Matloob Hussain Taqi, Syed Tayab Moosavi, Syed Qurban Hussain Shah, Shoukat Jafferi and other members of the committee were also present there. Allama Kazmi expressed his grave grief that the administration displayed incompetency during the enquiry of the incidents; in this regard no further developments were made and those who laid their lives did so in vain. He demanded from the government to bring to justice the heartless criminals behind this crime; the federal government should compensate victims and should also provide health facilities for injured on its expense; some of the victims of this incident have to pay for the treatment from their own pockets. The government should also look after the children and the families of the victim of the incident of Dhoke Syedan and should compensate for the damage of the public properties; the search operation must be carried out to catch criminals and elements of the banned groups who have set up their safe havens in the suburb of Rawalpindi and Dhoke Syedan, if this does not happen then similar incidents may also take place in future. He said that in order to root out terrorism from the motherland the Moosavi peace formula must be implemented and a noose must be tightened around those banned elements who are operating with new identities. Allama Kazmi expressed his great sorrow over the fact that the terrorism is continued in the motherland, after Dhoke Syedan terrorist incident took place in Dera Ismail Khan; recently the incident of Bashir Blor of ANP occurred and target killings in Karachi are still continue. He said if we analyze these incidents then what we find is that the targets of terrorists are neither Shia nor Sunni but Pakistan, therefore we all have to take steps against it jointly. He said Rawalpindi is the twin city with Islamabad and therefore it holds great importance; if any incident takes place its effects will be felt throughout the country.
Allama
Zahid Abbas said that at the beginning of Muharram ul Harram
many claims were made of having security on high alert but the
enemies of the religion and motherland just few kilometres away
from GHQ carried out suicide attack on the peaceful mourners who
were busy in the grief of the grandson of the Holy Prophet, Imam
Hussain (PBUH) on 6 Muharram in Dhoke Syedan through which the
claim of the government were exposed. He said that God favours
the local leaders of the TNFJ who controlled the situation over
there otherwise the whole of the city would have been turned
into a ball of fire. In this incident more than two dozen Shia
and Sunni mourners of Imam Hussain (PBUH) lost their lives and
scores of them were injured but no minister from the federal or
provincial setup took the pain and to visit the place of
incident neither they helped us, we ourselves were picking up
dead bodies and were taking the injured to hospitals and were
arranging blood for them; the provincial minister and the
interior minister even they visited hospitals did not let anyone
know to avoid listening to the problems of the victims of this
heinous crime.
