Decision to support any political party will be taken on the basis of principals - Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate

The democratic future of the country depends upon free and fair elections. Care taker setup must concentrate on establishment of peace; ignoring the established schools of thoughts is the first step of injustice; practical participation in elections on the basis of sectarian or linguistic discrimination is supporting the agenda of Pakistan’s enemies; Charter of Peace must be reformulated by all the forces to confront terrorism - Address of Secretary General Mazhar Ali shah to the TNFJ’s central Contact committee for election 2013

ISLAMABAD, April 2: The Secretary General of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya Pakistan Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate has said that the democratic future of Pakistan is dependent upon the upcoming elections and their sanctity. Politicians and rulers must promote patience and forbearance and eliminate the differences of words and actions and fulfil their promises. While addressing to the TNFJ’s central contact committee for Election 2013, he said that practical participation in the Elections on the basis of linguistic or sectarian discrimination is in fact promoting the agenda of the enemies of Pakistan. He said that caretaker government must play a completely neutral role in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan and give preference to the establishment of law and order in the country. It must not tolerate anything against the rules of law. Mazhar Ali Shah stated that ignoring the established schools of thought for the caretaker government is against justice and no one can justify this act. He said that the reason behind the gravity of the present situation is that the enemies of Pakistan wait for such situations. He said that the registration of one hundred fifty organizations including that of extremist sectarian banned terrorist organizations is a big question mark. Mazhar Ali Shah stressed that our highest priority must be the eradication of terrorism for which charter of peace will have to be formulated again by all the forces. Most dangerous is the fact that the decision has been taken to bring banned terrorist outfits in the assemblies. That is why the present elections are being held upon sectarian basis e.g (Sunni, Shia, Barelwi, Deobandi, and Ahl e Hadees) while the media is also projecting those who on one hand are a threat for the whole nation while source of encouragement for the international colonial powers. By participating in elections on the basis of sects, they are aiming to target the fundamental ideology of Pakistan, which is the two-nation theory. He said that some of the foreign ambassadors are openly wandering across Pakistan and supporting the banned terrorist groups, and the game being played is so dangerous that it will shake the foundations of Pakistan. Mazhar Ali Shah said that keeping in view the tragic ongoing situation, the last hope for ensuring a free and fair elections are the judiciary and our armed forces and they must play their constitutional role in making elections free and fair. The participants of the meeting were informed about the contacts initiated by some of the political parties and it was pledged that the decision of supporting any candidate would be made on the basis of principals. Meanwhile the charter of demand of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya was also reviewed.
