The beloved motherland has reached a critical stage; bold steps must be taken for its protection – Syed Qamar Zaidi

The judiciary, the armed forces and the Chief Election Commissioner are under the obligation to take concrete steps for restoration of peace and holding of transparent elections in the country; the death of a martyr has been termed a life of the nation, which is a great honour – Address to the Majlis on the first martyrdom anniversary of the Squadron Leader Syed Masood Akhtar Rizvi Shaheed

RAWALPINDI, April 3: Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has said that motherland Pakistan has reached a critical stage in the backdrop of the international situations and incidents, therefore, we would have to give priority to the national integrity over all other matters by rejecting the pressure of international colonial powers. He stated this while addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Imam Bargah Zainul Abideen Rawalpindi in connection with the first martyrdom anniversary of the Squadron Leader Syed Masood Akhtar Rizvi Shaheed who kissed martyrdom in accident of aeroplanes during training flight of Pakistan Air Force.

Syed Qamar Zaidi said the death of a martyr has been termed a life of the nation, which is a great honour for those who are placed at the pedestal of martyrdom. He said Masood Akhtar Shaheed performed a great deed sacrificing his life by kissing martyrdom while performing his official duties and his name will be written in the history of Pakistan’s fighters with golden words. Expressing heartfelt sympathies with Shaheed’s father Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi and brother-in-law Agha Syed Ali Roohul Abbas Moosavi, he prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

The TNFJ Secretary Information said that as the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi says Pakistan is being punished for being a citadel of Islam laced with atomic power. He expressed grave concern that Quetta was already hurt by terrorism and now incidents of murder and arson are also being reported from Karachi, Peshawar, Mardan and Bannu. He said elections have been announced but instead of taking serious steps to root out terrorism, the banned groups have been allowed to openly participate in elections, which is damaging for democracy. He said the judiciary, the armed forces and the Chief Election Commissioner are under the obligation to take concrete steps for restoration of peace and holding of transparent elections in the country and stop the banned groups from reaching the Parliament. Otherwise, he added, the stability of democratic institutions of the country would be on stake.

He said Allah Has blessed the Pakistan nation with mineral and national resources but the international colonial powers were dreaming to take over these resources. That is why the country is the target of terrorism for quite long. He said America has turned Afghanistan into a heap of ashes through its air force before the whole world but the world super powers could not even lodge verbal protests against it. He said today America is occupying Afghanistan with full force. According to observers, he added, America has decided to stay for a long time in Afghanistan and for this purpose a ten-year agreement has been signed between Afghanistan and the NATO forces.

Syed Qamar Zaidi said that the terrorist activities in Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh are aimed at destabilizing Pakistan to fulfil the American agenda of New World Order. Therefore, we would have to take immediate steps to get the motherland get rid of colonial control.

Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri, Moulana Waqar Hussain Naqvi, Moulana Shahzad Hussain Sundhi and others also addressed the Majlis.
