The Election Commission busy in scrutiny of candidates has forgotten to impose 62/63 on parties and organisations  - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, April 17: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has expressed grave concern over the dilapidating law and order situation in the country and has declared the continued incidents of terrorism as a preface to sabotaging elections. In his reaction issued from the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih he said the Election Commission busy in scrutiny of candidates has forgotten to impose 62/63 on parties and organisations and the whole nation is affected of its results. He said the banned organisations were roaming about freely in the election field after getting a ‘clean chit’ from the Election Commission and this development has encouraged the terrorists. He said terrorist attack on the caravan of Sardar Sanaullah Zehri in Khuzdar, attack on security check-post in Waziristan, and continuous incidents of target killings in Karachi provide food for thought to the patriotic and State-loving people. He said if immediate corrective measures were not taken in Balochistan then everyone will have to suffer. Seeking votes on the basis of sect, language, and creed is contrary to democracy and is tantamount to putting the integrity of the country on stake, he added.

Agha Moosavi said at present whatever ordeal Pakistan is going through is a part of satanic agenda the purpose of which is to destabilise the motherland to reap their own benefits. He said suicide attacks, bomb blasts, target killings, threats being hurled on some parties, arguments about Pakistan’s ideology and politics in the name of religion are tantamount to opening Pandora’s Box and damaging for the nation, country and democracy. He said Election Commission itself is following the policy of duplicity as one candidate is rejected in one constituency and is cleared from the other. The matter of highest concern, he added, is that the Election Commission has not only registered some groups officially banned by the government rather they have also been allowed to take part in elections by allotting them election symbols and they are seeking votes in the name of sect.

The TNFJ chief said that practical politics on the basis on biases began in Zia era who had announced to turn the motherland in a State of a particular Maktab which attempt was thwarted by Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya declaring it contrary to the Constitution but this Ziai trend has cause immense damage to Pakistan and democracy and the whole nation is undergoing the results in the shape of terrorism, sectarianism and biases. He said general elections are going to be held as per Constitutions under Article 2 of which the official religion of the State is Islam and not a sect. They said a particular Maktab and sect has been fielded in the elections in the garb of Islam therefore including these sectarian elements in elections is tantamount to strengthening the satanic agenda.

Agha Moosavi said the instructions of the Election Commission are not a new thing rather it is already there in which clarification about Islam and Muslims has been made while minorities are also taking part in elections and the Constitutions guarantees fulfilment of their rights. He said we are still stuck to our point of view that seeking votes in the name of sect, language, and creed is open violation of Pakistan and Nazria-e-Asaasi Islam because Islam condemns all types of biases, oppression and atrocities. He said the announcement of support to political parties fulfilling the Charter of Demand of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya will be announced by TNFJ’s Election Coordination Committee at National and Provincial level which is at present in contact with political parties.

Meanwhile, the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi expressed deep grief on the death of Sahibzada Fazal Kareem and termed his demise a national tragedy. He also expressed sympathies with the affected families of earthquake and prayed for their early restoration.
