Immediate help must be ensured for pilgrims stuck at the border of Iran and Iraq - Major (R) Baqir Bukhari Pilgrims are in abandoned situation. Governments of Iran and Iraq must be contacted to resolve the matter - Letter of TNFJ to caretaker interior minister ISLAMABAD, April 24: The joint secretary of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh e Jafariya Maj (R) Baqir Bukhari has notified the caretaker interior minister to help the Pakistani pilgrims stuck at the border of Iran and Iraq, by issuing special instructions to Pakistani embassies in the two countries so that quick support and facilitation is ensured for the Pakistani pilgrims so that they could easily perform pilgrims and return to Pakistan in time to cast their votes in the upcoming elections. In a letter sent to the interior minister the joint secretary of TNFJ expressed grave concerns over the deteriorated situation of pilgrims. He mentioned that Iraq houses the holy shrines of heroes of Islam which are located in Karbala e Mualla, Kazmain, Najaf Ashraf and Baghdad while in Iran, Qum al Muqadas, Mashhad Muqadas and along with some other sites are the renowned places for pilgrimage and visited by the pilgrims who pray at these sites as these are the spiritual places where prayers are accepted. Maj (r) Bukhari also appreciated the electronic and print media, which highlighted the problems faced by the pilgrims.
