TNFJ will observe the “Day of Mourning” on Sunday 4 August to protest against the attack on the holy shrines of renowned Sahaba-e-Karaam Hazrat Ammar Yassir (R.A.) and Hazrat Khawaja Owais Qarni (R.A.) in Riqah – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, August 4:

The Patron-in-Chief of Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi while condemning terrorist attacks on the holy shrines of renowned Sahaba-e-Karaam Hazrat Ammar Yassir (R.A.) and Hazrat Khawaja Owais Qarni (R.A.) in Riqah has announced the observation of the “Day of Mourning” on Sunday August 4.

In a statement issued from the headquarters of the Maktab e Tasheyyo, he said the holy Quran and Sunnah have given the oppressed people right to raise their voice of protest therefore peaceful voice of protest will be raised by observing the Day of Mourning to condemn the attacks on the holy shrines and to tap the sleeping honour of the Muslim rulers about it. He said the Zionists and Christians had become active against Islam, the pious personalities of the religion and Sharia even in the era of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) and some hypocrites have been identified in the Surah Munafiqoon of the Holy Quran saying that how they remained busy in insulting the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP), Aal-e-Athaar (PBUT) and the pious companions (R.A.) openly in the garb of Islam and when in the era of Caliphate Usmania, the power of enemies of Islam was rooted out. He said the anti-Islam forces by dividing more Muslim states had imposed their agents there. Some of them razed the holy shrines of the Holy Prophet’s forefathers and his holy progeny (PBUT), Ummahatul Momineen and Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) that are still a symbol of inattention.

Aqae Moosavi iterated that there had been a crucial time when the series of blasphemies against the Holy Prophet, his companions and his holy progeny started. The cursed people like Rushddi wrote impious books, after 9/11, international imperialistic powers named the implementation of its evil plan as crusade wars, the holy places in Iraq were targeted, the shrines of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Khushal Khan Khattak, Bari Imam, Data Ganj Bakhsh, Sakhi Mahmood Badshah, Sakhi Sarwar, Rehman Baba and so many others came under the attack and the same evil plan was executed in Afghanistan. He said that Yemen, Libya, Egypt and one after another, all the Muslim countries came under attack and now in Syria the international imperialist has sent his agents as worriers to carry its evil plan there who are making merciless attacks on the holy shrines of pious personalities of Islam. Aqae Moosavi said that international imperialist wants to impose the authority of Christians and Zionist powers in northern Asia and gulf region and now trying to make solid grounds to attack on Syria. The worse of all is that some of the Muslim countries are also turned against Syria and not only supporting these radical elements but also admiring their evil acts. Not more than a couple of countries raised the voice against the terrorist activities and blasphemies to the shrines of pious personalities of Islam, which is a big question mark. He said that the government of Pakistan not only called the representative of Syrian government to its foreign office but also recorded its protest against these blasphemous acts. Provincial government of Punjab approved a condemnation resolution as well, yet the other provinces are silent. He said that it seems that the sense of shame, honour and dignity in the Muslim rulers vanished. He asserted that the only work carried out by the Arab League and the O.I.C is to hurt the Muslim nation because they always remained silent spectators even on extremely critical issues and UNO and international organizations, who protest a lot on the destruction of idols in Bamyan, have become dumb now.

Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi demanded from the United Nations Secretary General to immediately condemn the attacks on the holy shrines in Syria and to take concrete practical steps to ensure honour and dignity of Ahle Bait Athaar (PBUT), Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) and Sha’air Allah otherwise they will right to understand that the United Nations itself is involved in these gory incidents. He lamented that earlier the shrines of Hazrat Ruqayya Binte Ali (PBUH), Hazrat Sakina (PBUH), Hazrat Hajr Bin Aadi (R.A.) were attacked, the shrines of Hazrat Zainab Binte Ali (PBUH) and Khalid Bin Waleed were attacked last week, and now the holy shrines of Hazrat Ammar Yassir (R.A.) and Hazrat Owais Qarni (R.A.) have been targeted.

He said that Hazrat Ammar Yassir (R.A.) is such a great companion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) who accepted Islam in its early stages and his respected parents were the first martyrs of Islam. He was the one who led the group of migrants to Habsha, participated in many battles, including the battle of Badr, and also at the time of treaty of Hudaibiya he was present. He said that the parents of Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir were being tortured, the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) would say, “O the descendants of Yasir, be patient, verily your destination is Paradise”. On another occasion the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) have said, “Paradise is waiting for Ammar (R.A.), Salman (R.A.) and Abu Dhar (R.A.)”. The Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) also said to Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir (R.A.) that an rebellious group would martyr you. Thus not only Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir (R.A.) but also Huzaifa Bin Thabit Ansari (R.A.) received martyrdom in the battle of Sufin from Hazrat Ali (PBUH)’s side. Aqae Moosavi said that Ammar Bin Yasir (R.A.) is one of those companions who offered obligatory prayers directing to both the Qiblas of Islam. He said that Owais Karani (R.A.), who though were among Tabaeen (Followers) and could not see the Holy Prophet in his life time, yet when he received the news of Holy Prophet’s tooth injury in the Battle of Uhad, in the grief of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) he broke all of his teeth. The Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) declared him close to him, that’s the reason Hazrat Umar went for the approval of his supplications to Hazrat Owais (R.A.).

Meanwhile, the TNFJ committee has been formed to monitor the programmes of Day of Mourning. Dr. S.M. Rizvi has been nominated as convener and Maulana Ijlal Haider Al-Haideri has been nominated as secretary of this committee.
