The government should summon the Bangladeshi high commissioner to the Foreign Office to protest against the hanging of Bangladesh’s religious leader Abdul Qadir Mullah – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, December 14: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has strongly condemned the hanging of Bangladesh’s religious leader Abdul Qadir Mullah and called upon the government to summon the Bangladeshi high commissioner to the Foreign Office and lodge a strong protest against it while this issue may also be raised at all international organisations including the United Nations. He said hanging of Qadir Mullah is a slap in the face of those who received gifts after going to Bangladesh. He said the Fatwa issued by Saudi Mufti-e-Azam Shaikh Abdel Aziz against suicide attacks is correct and a good omen but why it was so delayed? Suicide is illegal (Haram) on which all recognised schools of thought agree. Drone attacks are attack on the country’s integrity but these will not stop only with adopting resolutions, sit-ins, rallies and strikes rather there is need to adopt a combined strategy by taking the whole nation into confidence. The powers that be and the Administration should keep in mind that we are under the oath to continue the processions of Nana (SAAW) and Nawasa (A.S.) till the Zahoor-e-Mehdi (A.S.) and in this connection we are ready to offer any sacrifice how big it would be. We consider death very invaluable and give Azadari utmost importance over all other things. We should not be teased as in it lay the betterment of the nation and the country. He warned the police to give up exercising one-way action and stop arresting innocent Azadaran and Matmis and violating the dignity of chadar and chardivari by stopping atrocious attitude. These views were expressed by him while addressing the office-bearers of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board and other Ulema here Friday.

Agha Moosavi declared that our gentlemanliness should not be considered as our weakness because we keep the survival of the motherland, protection of the people, and supremacy of Islam dear to us. He called upon the Ulema-e-Karam to preach for Ma’aroofaat and against Munkiraat in a positive manner. He made it clear that we are not tools of any lobby or satanic power rather we are servants of Allah, Rasool (SAAW), Aal-e-Athaar (A.S.), Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.), motherland and the people. We can be cut into pieces but would never allow anyone to cause harm to the religion and the motherland because love of the motherland is a part of our faith, he added.

The TNFJ chief lamented that someone is being killed for love with Pakistan and Islam and others for being Sunni or Shia while rulers are busy in ruling the country as they keep their own interest supreme instead of their country and the people. They only strive to keep their chair intact, he added. He said those who committed treachery against Pakistan should have been hanged instead of Qadir Mullah but all this happened owing to slackness of politicians and rulers. He said those Bangladeshis who have offered sacrifices for Pakistan have net even been give citizenship. He reminded that it was Mian Nawaz Sharif who had raised voice for them first but there is need to raise this issue on international fora. He said we are enemies of the oppressors and friends of the oppressed. Therefore we strongly condemn foreign interference in all Muslim States including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bahrain, Syria, Kashmir and Palestine.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said we have opened our eyes in incidents and did not bother for anything like our forefathers, therefore, we know how to perform in rain, winds, tycoons, floods, earthquakes and any other such situation. He said no power on earth could stop the processions of Milad-e-Mustafa (SAAW) and Azadari Syed-us-Shuhada (A.S.) which is the source of highlighting the campaigns of the oppressed world and their pious goals. He said these processions have given the freedom fighters of Kashmir and Palestine to stand against the evil forces.
