The whole responsibility of any untoward incident on the Chehlum would lay on the powers that be – Sakhwat Kazmi ISLAMABAD, December 23: Col. (Retd) Sakhawat Hussain Kazmi, chief of the Jafariya Action Committee while addressing an emergent press conference on Sunday said Pakistan that was jointly created by different sects of Muslims was first broke into two parts as a result of lack of justice and fair-play and then the nation was run by such rulers who gave it gifts of heroin and Kalashnikov cultures and sowed such a crop of terrorism as a result of which every part of the country is unsafe, terrorists are reigning all around and blood of the innocent is being shed so as to divert us from the Nazria-e-Asaasi. He disclosed that at present there are 63 banned groups that are carrying out terrorism wherever they like in the motherland. Col. (Retd) Sakhawat said the Rawalpindi Ashoor Day incident is the work of such powers that had planned the attack on Azadari procession well in advance but unfortunately one-sided action is being taken and the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo is wrongly being implicated in this incident. He said more than half a dozen mosques and Imambargahs were set on fire, bomb blasts was carried out in Incholi Karachi, TNFJ central leader Allama Nasir Abbas was martyred in Lahore and the government’s so-called security measures were violated through a blast in the most sensitive area of Rawalpindi Gracie Line the other day. He said now the miscreant elements were utilizing all their energy to stop the Milad-un-Nabi and Azadari processions. There is one thing to ponder over that why these elements are allergic to the processions of Nana (SAAW) and Nawasa (A.S.), he asked. The chief of the Jafariya Action Committee said Yazidiat is afraid of Azadari and we would like to make it clear that the Arbaeeen and Milad-un-Nabi processions, whether they are traditional are licensed will be brought out with honour and respect and if anyone tried to create any hurdle then the whole responsibility of any untoward incident would lay on the powers that be. He demanded that a high level Tribunal comprising renowned and impartial judges be set up and all incidents of terrorism since 1979 including Raja Bazar, Gracie Line, Incholi and Lahore incidents should be probed with honesty and the culprits may be punished accordingly. He lamented that none of the culprits of any incident was punished as a result of which terrorists are encouraged while people are shocked with a sense of deprivation, therefore, the culprits of terrorism should be given exemplary punishment. He said the 63 banned parties are culprits of the country and the nation and noose should be tightened around them. They do not belong to any Maktab or Maslak and are only terrorists. They should be avoided to be presented before the electronic and print media. Those who spread anarchy should be dealt with an iron hand and no one of them should be given any relaxation. He accused the police of covering up their inability and arresting innocent people and pressing them to give statements of their choice using violence against them. So much so that even those people were also arrested who did not participate in the Ashoora procession. Hundreds of Matmis and Ahle Sunnat who set up Sabeels have been arrested and they should be set free forthwith. Col. (Retd) Sakhawat said that Bengalis were victimised after the Quaid-i-Azam and everyone has seen the result. Today, the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo, Barelvi Ahle Sunnat and non-Muslims are being victimised. Pakistan is not a Maktabi or Maslaki but Islamic State where all recognised schools of thought including non-Muslim minorities are allowed to lead their life according to their beliefs as per the Constitution, therefore, their victimization should be stopped forthwith. He said the chief of Islamic Council of Ideology has been given a three-year extension that is tantamount to bargaining and contrary to the essence of establishment of this institution. We demand that number of representatives from Maktab-e-Tasheyyo, Ahle Sunnat, Ahle Hadees should be given the leadership of all State institutions including the Islamic Council of Ideology turn by turn and the number of their representatives from all Makatib should also be equal. He said the “Moosavi Peace Formula” presented to the court of Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah for rooting out terrorism should be implemented in letter and spirit and terming any recognised school of thought as non-Muslim should be declared a cognizable offence. He said restriction should be imposed on those religious and political parties that receive foreign aid and the statements of income and expenditure should be checked. The Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya presents itself to be the first one for the purpose, he added. We would like to make it clear once again that there is no Shia, Sunni conflict in Pakistan as all Makatib are united but some foreign countries are fighting their war on the Pakistan soil which should not be termed as sectarianism, he added. Col. (Retd) Sakhawat thanked the Ministry of Interior for giving a patience hearing to the demands of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya on every occasion and remaining in contact with TNFJ. We pray for them to may Allah give them the courage to understand the problems of the citizens of the motherland. He said he would like to make it clear that we do not interfere in the religious beliefs of others nor would allow anyone else to interfere in our beliefs. All Azadari processions including Arbaeen-e-Hussaini and Milad-e-Mustafa will continue to be brought out regularly till the Zahoor of Imam Mehdi (A.S.) and no one will be allowed to create any hurdle while providing protection to these processions is utmost responsibility of the government.
