ISLAMABAD, February 06: The Day of Solidarity with Kashmir was observed throughout the country with traditional national spirit on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Like other cities of the country, a strong rally was staged in front of the National Press Club here under the auspices of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya District Islamabad’s Solidarity with Kashmir Committee. The rally was led by Additional Secretary General Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, District President Basharat Hussain Imami, Central Spokesman Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Allama Zahid Kazmi, Chairman MSO Syed Bu Ali Mehdi, Chairman TNFJ Political Cell Z.A. Raja, Bawa Dilbar Hussain Shah, M.H. Jafri, Malik-e-Ashtar, Chairman MFP Ch. Mushtaq Hussain, Supreme Commander Amjad Hussain Naqvi, Syed Joan Ali Shah Mashadi, Central President M.O. Ali Furqani, Prof. Ghulam Abbas Haideri, G.M. Shah, Raja Muhammad Raza, Raja Seesar Mahmood and other leaders. The protestors were chanting different slogans in favour of Kashmir and against India.

Chairman Mukhtar S.O. Syed Bu Ali Mehdi addressing the rally said the oppressions of Indian monsters in Karbala-e-Kashmir has reached its height but the international organisations and human rights organisations were playing the role of silent spectators.

A resolution was adopted on the occasion saying that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan without which Pakistan is incomplete but the stubborn attitude on the part of India on Kashmir issue has put the world on the brink of atomic wars, the untimely echoes of Kargil war are aimed at sabotaging the Kashmir issue and Indian aggression is being unveiled by observing the Day of Solidarity with Kashmir with enthusiasm and national spirit. The resolution proposed that the Islamic World should unite and spend their money on the development of the Islamic World and promotion of science and technology instead of putting it in western banks making their economy stable.

The resolution called upon the United Nations Secretary General to get the aggression against Muslims in Held Kashmir stopped and resolve the Kashmir issue in the light of the United Nations keeping to the desires of the Kashmiri people. It said if the plebiscite could be held in Eastimor then why the same is not possible in Kashmir. The resolution called upon the United Nations to give up its dual role and protect the human rights by getting its charter implemented in letter and spirit.

Allama Basharat Hussain Imami offered special prayers for the success of Kashmiri struggle, supremacy of the Islamic World, and solidarity and integrity of the motherland Pakistan. Later the protestors dispersed peacefully.
