Similar to the rest of the country, peaceful protest rallies were held in the federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi. On these occasions, Ulema, religious scholars and leaders vowed to continue their support for the oppressed and subjugated people while expressed strong condemnation for the oppressors and terrorism. While addressing to a protest rally at Masjid o Imam Bargah Jafariya I-9 Islamabad Allama Syed Guftar Hussain Saddiqi said that the horrible terrorist attacks in Aliabad Quetta and the attack on the convoy of the security forces in Budhbeer Peshawar have aggrieved the whole nation. Those who kissed martyrdom got their independence form the grief while those left behind can only shed tears on their losses. He said that the cry of the innocent children and women shown on the TV screens saddens everyone. More pain is caused by the fact that insensitive rulers have done nothing for the victims of these incidents except uttering a few words. Allama Sadiqi said that the political leadership of the country is only concerned about their worldly benefits and strengthening of their rule and they do not follow any code of conduct in fulfilling their objectives even if it involves making alliances with the terrorist and the banned organizations. The elements of the banned organizations are not only operating using new names but also given coverage on the media channels as the messengers of peace and with such kind of situation the dream of peace in the country can never come true. While addressing to a Majlis e Tarheem at Jamia Masjid Sakhi Shah Peyara Chohar Harpal, Allama Syed Matloob Hussain Taqi expressed grave concerns on the fact that the whole world including our beloved homeland Pakistan is the target of terrorism and sensitive places such as Quetta, Peshawar and Karachi are amongst their primary targets. He demanded from the government that it must formulate a high level tribunal to investigate these terrorist incidents. A resolution on this occasion strongly condemned all the incidents of terrorism and expressed condolences with the victims of the terrorist incidents while special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. Terming the terrorist attacks as a heinous conspiracy against Pakistan, the resolution demanded the government to bring all the perpetrators of these incidents to justice. The resolution pledged to follow the command of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to the letter and spirit and expressed unshakeable confidence on his leadership.
