Some one who arrange sustenance for those who observe fasting will be protected against their wrong doings

Fasting is a best source to protect people from wrong doings, address of Syeda Binte Mousa to the religious lectures at Jamia tul Murtaza

ISLAMABAD, July 14: Anjuman e Dukhtaran e Islam arranged a religious sitting at Jamia tul Murtaza, G-9/4 Islamabad. While addressing to the session, Khatiba Syeda Binte Musa Moosavi said that Ramadan is the month of patience; the reward of patience is paradise. This is the month in which people should feel for others’ sorrows and sufferings. In this month the reward of a faithful person is increased who arrange meal for those who are observing fast, will be protected against their wrong doings and also be protected from the fire of hell and will get reward equivalent to one who is fasting, yet the reward of the person who is observing fast will not be lessen. She said that according to a tradition, narrated by Hazrat Salman e Farsi (R.A), the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) said in a sermon delivered during the last days of the month of Shaban, “You are yet to receive a month which is of high value and greatness, it has a night which is better than thousands nights (Shab e Qadr, the Night of Power), Allah has made fasting obligatory during the days of the coming months and staying and awakening during the nights have been declared as of great reward. A single obligation fulfilled in this month equivalent to the fulfilling of seventy thousands obligations in other months”. She asserted that the God-fearing people consider Ramadan as an opportunity and spend their maximum time in worshipping Allah, doing virtuous deeds, reciting the Holy Quran, asking supplications, giving charity and doing all other acts which could achieve them the nearness of Almighty Allah. She said that fasting is a source of protecting people from wrong doings. A faithful person practices to keep him/herself away even from his/her needs for a certain period of time, not for any worldly attainment or materialistic gain but just to please his/her Lord, Allah the Almighty. She said that Ramadan provides us opportunity so that we could consciously understand the principles of Islam, for that we really need to get ourselves ready and will have to identify our mistakes and erors that we have done in past so that in the coming days we do maximum such acts which could get us closer to Allah and His mercy and we could also be eligible for His salvation.
