Almighty Allah says that fasting is for me and I will reward those who observe fasting Fasting is a source of passion for sympathy and to share others’ grief – Address of Professor Sughra Malik to a religious sitting in Jamia tul Murtaza ISLAMABAD, July 15: The religious teachings continued at central Imam Bargah Jamia tul Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad arranged by Anjuman e Dukhtaran e Islam. Professor Sughra Malik while addressing to the gathering said that during fasting people not only show control over their Nafs but also take training to control their worldly wishes. She said that observing fast is not only a source of passion for sympathy and to share others’ grief but it also good for human health and a source of reward. Almighty ALLAH says in Hadees e Qudsi that fast is for me and I will reward it. The master of faithful, Hazrat Ali al Murtaza (PBUH) said that I like three things, Jihad (war against enemies of Islam) with Sword, honouring guests, and fasting during summer. She said fast is a best instrument for abstinence and self-scrutiny. The master of faithful, Hazrat Ali al Murtaza (PBUH) says that on the night of Meraj, the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) asked Almighty ALLAH that what is the first worship, He replied silence and fast, the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) asked what is the benefits of fast, ALLAH replied ‘wisdom’ and ‘Prudence’ are the consequence of Knowingness which result in conformation. When one reaches to the state of conformation then hardship, leisure, comfort and Luxury does not matter to him/her. As said in the Holy Quran that Hazrat Miriam (PBUH) observed fast of silence. It is very important that we must be thankful to Almighty ALLAH that we have the chance to enjoy the blessings of Ramzan so we may equipped ourselves with kindness and avoid causing harm to each other, which is the need of the hour to root out disturbances and distractions that are being faced by all humanity especially the Muslim world and Pakistan.
