It does not suit to the remaining of Zia dictatorship to claim to have nothing to do with the menace of terrorism - Mazhar Ali Shah The period of those who groomed up in the lap of dictatorship gifted terrorism, Kalashnikov and heroine culture to this nation, target killings and massacre started in that period; attacks on polling stations and the candidates is highly condemnable, those political parties which are even unable to continue election campaign, how would they accept the results of elections as fair? For the fair execution of elections, participation of the banned groups should be barred ISLAMABAD, May 5: While expressing extreme anxiety over the current law and order situation throughout the country, the Secretary General of the TNFJ, Syed Mazhar Ali Shah highly condemned attacks on the political offices and on the candidates of elections in Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar. While addressing to the delegation from Islamabad he iterated that those political leaders who are claiming that their periods were free from terrorism couldn’t make fool this nation by such statements. He said that it does not suits to the remaining of Zia Dictatorship to claim themselves clean from the dirt of terrorism because it was started after the targeted assassination of Allama Ahsan Ilahi Zaheer and Allama Muhammad Jaffar Zaidi during the tyranny of Zia. He said that the period of those who groomed up in the lap of dictatorship given terrorism, Kalashnikov and heroine culture to this nation, Mosques, Imam Bargahaz, and religious institutions were attacked, target killings and massacre started and religious books were banned in their periods. He questioned that if in their periods there was no terrorism, why then Chief Justice Syed Sajjad Ali himself had taken strict notice of it? Syed Mazhar Ali Shah stressed that we do not have any personal, political or opportunists’ relations with any political party, rather ideological basis of Pakistan and Islam are the standards of our friendship and enmity. He asserted that sending the dead body of Indian terrorist Sarbajeet Singh with full protocol and media highlights is extremely shameful. The reply of India by sending Pakistani prisoner’s dead body that was killed by extreme brutality and mercilessness is a big slap on the face of Pakistani leaders. He said that the dignified nation of Pakistan always proved that they are one nation and no power of the world can break their bond of unity. He expressed anxiety over the current election scenario and said that how the up coming elections can be executed transparently as some of the political parties are unable to even launch the election campaign and some of them have boycotted? He questioned that those political parties, which are even unable to continue election campaign, how would they accept the results of elections as fair? He said that care-taking government has totally failed to ensure security of the citizens of Pakistan thus the nation has all hopes lie with Pakistan Judiciary and Pak-Army. He demanded that for the fair execution of elections, participation of the banned groups should be barred and they should be arrested.
