The biggest reason behind promotion of extremism in the motherland Pakistan is illiteracy – Mukhtar S O

RAWALPINDI, October 28: The biggest reason behind promotion of extremism in the motherland Pakistan is illiteracy, ignorance and unemployment and the government should take steps to make every citizen of Pakistan literate, education budget may be increased and employment to the educated youth may be ensure. Any line of action given by the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi will be followed in letter and spirit and all conspiracies of enemies of Islam and Pakistan will be failed by following the Hussaini spirit. This was stated in the declaration issued at the conclusion of country-wide “Azm-e-Mukhtar Tanzeemi Convention” organised by representative body of the students belonging to the Maktab-e-Tasheyo Mukhtar Students Organisation. Student representatives from all over the country participated in the convention during which Syed Aoun Abbas Kazmi was elected Central President of Mukhtar Students Organisation for the next year.

The declaration presented by Mardan Ali Changezi expressed concern that three and four-pronged educational system is in place in the country in which no participation of the State is visible. The topics on the founders of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal have been taken out from the curricula books; religion has been totally taken out from the educational curricula whereas hatred and biases are promoted using the religion that provided food for thought to the nation and the country. Therefore, the declaration said, equal educational system should be introduced throughout the country that may be coherent with Islam and the Islamic Ideology, commensurate with the modern norms.

The declaration termed the funds allocated to education in the budge very low and demanded to allocate 25 per cent of the national budget instead. Condemning the ongoing terrorism in the country, the declaration lamented that banned parties were openly operating and government feels that they have fulfilled their responsibility by issuing a notification merely. It demanded implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act in its true spirit. Terming increasing price hike a result of economic instability the declaration demanded from the government to set up an economic system based on the teachings of Islam instead of following the dictates of the World Bank and the IMF. The declaration termed developing relations with India prior to solution of Kashmir issue is tantamount to treachery and called upon the United Nations to implement its Resolution about Kashmir and Palestine like they did in case of Mashriqi Taimoor and Sudan. The declaration also strongly condemned atrocities being carried out in Bahrain and Burma.

The Chairman Mukhtar Students Organisation in his presidential address said the new generation is the asset of the nation and the country and there is need to take practical steps to avoid wasting this talent instead of raising hollow slogans. The newly elected President said that he will let no effort waste in promoting the supremacy of Islam and Pakistan, mission of ‘Wila’ and ‘Aza’ and for the rights of students while efforts will be made to achieve the objectives of the organisation.

Allama Basharat Hussain Imami read his paper on “Responsibilities of the Youth”, Allama Qamar Haider Zaidi on “Need of forming Mukhtar Students Organisation”, and Alhaj Syed Hassan Badar Hamdani presented his paper on the topic of the organisation. Other speakers included Raza Raza, Roohan Haider, Muhammad Hadi Hazarvi, Sibtain Ali, Hamid Ali, Zain Naqvi, Shabih Al-Hussaini, Asif Hussain Kazmi, Dr. N.H. Naqvi and M.H. Jafri.
