The adoption of Protection of Pakistan Amendment Bill is to establish the authority of the government – Hamid Moosavi ISLAMABAD, April 9: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that had the ruling class in Pakistan accepted supremacy of the constitution instead of getting its own supremacy recognised then they would have not adopted the path of amendments and revocation in it, the adoption of Protection of Pakistan Amendment Bill by the National Assembly is a part of that activity. He said Banu Umayyad and Banu Abbas used Islam and Gen Zia ul Haq used Sharia for their rule, and adoption of Protection of Pakistan Amendment Bill by the present government is also a part of similar effort. Insult of any institution is desecration of the constitution of Pakistan, live nations utilise all their energy to increase the honour and dignity of their armed forces because their strength and survival is linked with the integrity of the nation and the country. He stated this while announcing to observe ‘Ayyam Madar-e-Abbas Alamdar’ from 10-14. In a statement issued from the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo, Agha Moosavi said there is need to answer the question that why need to create negative thinking about the proud armed forces of Pakistan was created? In this connection, he said the rulers and politicians will have to exercise wisdom and seriousness because protection of Pakistan lay in the dignity of the armed forces of Pakistan. Had the government exercised sense and wisdom viz. Protection of Pakistan bill and made it public before getting its approval, listened to the opposition then hue and cry would not have been raised in the National Assembly because how can a bill that carries defects can protect Pakistan? The TNFJ chief said that Ummul Banin (PBUH) was enriched with the knowledge and wisdom of Khanwada-e-Risalat and Ahle Bait Athaar (PBUT). There is need to follow in the footsteps of Hazrat Ummul Banin to thwart the satanic forces, he added. Agha Moosavi expressed shock on the gory murder of Dr. Qasim Abbas in an incident of target killing in Karachi and the loss of more than a dozen people in blast of a bogey of the Jaffar Express at Sibi Railway Station Tuesday and termed these incidents open acts of terrorism. He advised the government to follow the option of dialogue in Balochistan like they did with the TTP because operation should be the last option and before such an action the Parliament should be taken into confidence. He said the habit of terming the opponents traitors should be given up because there is monopoly of none on Pakistan rather it is the combined inheritance of all and respect and honour should be extended to all institutions while the armed forces of Pakistan should be extended salute of devotion who are sacrificing the sons of the soil not only for the protection of country’s frontiers but are also carrying out relief work in case of natural calamities. Meanwhile, a central committee of the Tehreek has been formed to organise programmes for the Ayyam Madar-e-Abbas Alamdar. Mrs. Aqeel Naqvi will be the convener; Mrs. Sidra Naqvi deputy convener, Matloob Naqi secretary and Dr. Khanum Zehra Gul will be the deputy secretary of the committee.
