Attack on a police bus in Karachi and the loss of valuable lives of the security officials is a great national tragedy – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, February 14: The chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has strongly condemned suicide attack on a police bus in Karachi and said the loss of valuable lives of the security officials is a great national tragedy. He said the rulers should keep in mind that no parleys or bargaining for peace can be achieved by standing on a heap of explosives, therefore, a coherent and strongly national policy should soon be devised so as to confront the terrorists.

In his reaction issued through a statement from the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, he said the rulers, politicians and people have equal responsibility for the survival and stability of the motherland achieved through the valuable services of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam. There is need of the hour to gather under one platform like we did in the days of Pakistan Movement for the survival, integrity and stability of the motherland Pakistan, he added.

Agha Moosavi expressed his concern that the country was the target of internal and external enemy and no person, department, city, town is safe. In these circumstances, he said, it is the responsibility of the rulers to announce their commitment to accept the supremacy of the Constitution and the Parliament, judiciary and administration should not interfere in work of one another fulfilling the constitutional norms. They should keep mutual respect intact, perform the work handed over to them as per constitution and thwart the enemy instead of trying to pull legs of each other. He said the media will also have to announce their commitment not to make sit the internal and external enemies of Pakistan in their fora and giving them coverage while giving up promoting rumours.

The TNFJ chief demanded from the government to tighten noose around more than six dozen banned terrorist groups, the administration may arrest them come what may while the judiciary may fix them up without and fear. He said lingual, regional, religious and all types of biases may be condemned, punishment may be given to aggressors while those affected should be given justice. He said had terrorists were tackled by the rulers in every era then the situation would not have reached to this extent. He said Parliament has passed the resolutions, operations have been carried out, search operations are going on, dialogue is also in process, rulers are busy in foreign tours but terrorism is going on unabated.
