The silence of Muslim rulers, the AL and the OIC on the destruction of holy is tantamount to abetment to crime – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, June 28: The Patron-in-Chief of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the silence of Muslim heads of State, Arab League and OIC on the destruction of holy shrines is not only condemnable but is tantamount to abetment to crime. Saudi ruler Shah Salman should end the unrest found in the Islamic World by stopping the chain of wiping out Islamic signs in the garb of expansion. The international archaeology organisations, the United Nations, OIC and Arab League should take practical steps in this connection. Everyone should keep in mind that reason behind disasters, miseries and sufferings is trampling of Mashaheer-e-Islam’s signs restoration of dignity of which is the source of survival. Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) presented all her wealth in the feet of the Holy Prophet (SAAW) in subservience to the Rasool (SAAW). These views were expressed by him in a special message issued on the occasion of Universal Youm Al-Huzn being observed Sunday (10th Ramazan-ul-Mubarak) in connection with the Wafat of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.).

Agha Moosavi said the Muslim States are confronted with worst types of atrocities and terrorism today and the international terrorists responsible for destructing the shrines of Anbia Karaam and Aulia Swaleheen were openly committing humiliation of these shrines and at present the whole world is worried about the Daesh occupied city of Tadmir in Syria like they all cried earlier on the destruction of Bamyan in Afghanistan. But unfortunately they are keeping their silence on the wiping out of the signs of Mashaheer-e-Islam. He lamented that in addition to Saudi Arabia there are 56 Muslim States that did not raise voice against the desecration and destruction of holy places while Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya is continuously raising its voice of protest on this atrocity for the last 25 years or so.

The TNFJ chief made it clear that after the downfall of Khalifate Usmania when the colonial powers divided the Arab soil into pieces then the government of Makkah and Medina came to Shah Saud who soon after coming into power started wiping out the Nabavi signs against which the whole Islamic World become the symbol of protest. Besides destructing other Islamic places they also razed to ground the historic graveyards of Jannatul Moallah in Makkahtul Mukarima where the shrines of Rasool’s (SAAW) forefathers and Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) were also razed to ground. He said the respect and dignity that Aulia, Swaleheen, Sahaba Kubaar, Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.), Ummahatul Momineen enjoyed in their life time remains intact after their demise and remains so till the Day of Judgement. Similarly, the respect of their signs and shrines is also binding because their Ziarat is the display of love and devotion and construction of the same, protection of the holy signs is the symbol of love and a right step and this honour and respect remained intact till 1924. He said the there is no connection of these shrines with worship because the objective of making graves and shrines is not to worship them rather if even these are razed those who commit shirk can involve themselves in shirk by worshipping their graves. In that way even there remains no justification for graveyards, he added. 

Agha Moosavi said that according to Gulf Affairs report the 95 per cent of buildings in Makkah with religious and historic importance have been razed to ground during the last 20 years in the garb of construction and development. He said the Saudi princes blasted the whole mountain in their love to turn the Makkah into a city of high rise buildings which carried the historic fort of Usmani era. Not only that they have also turned the place of birth of Holy Prophet (SAAW) into a library building. He asked if anybody is aware that how many Islamic States and religious organisations have raised a voice of protest on razing the home of Rasool’s (SAAW) first wife Mohtarma Ummul Momimeen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) and turning it into public toilets? He disclosed that five of the seven mosques related with Ghazwa-e-Khandaq were razed to ground while another mosque related to Holy Prophet’s grandson was razed to ground by dynamite considering it a hurdle. Why the Muslims the world over are silent on the destruction of holy places in the garb of development and expansion in Makkah, he asked. 

The TNFJ chief said that Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) and Hazrat Fatima Zehra (S.A.) enjoy the honour to be the Syeda and Sardar of women of the universe. Her piousness is considered unmatchable that is why she is recognised with the title of ‘Tahira’. He said Hazrat Khadija (S.A.) was very rich and her trade caravan used to be the biggest of all among Quresh caravans. Hazrat Khadija (S.A.) was the right hand of the Hazoor (SAAW) as far as the dissemination of Islamic constitutions is concerned that is why the Holy Prophet (SAAW) himself lowered her body into the grave with his own hands for burial. He said the immense love of the Hazoor (SAAW) with her can be gauged from the fact that the years of Wafat of only two personalities i.e. Nigehban-e-Risalat Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) and Malika-e-Kainaat Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) was declared the Aam Al-Huzn (the year of mourning). He said for the wisdom of Hazrat Khadija (S.A.) it is enough that she remained subservient to the Rasool (SAAW), strengthened the pillars of Islam and put her whole wealth in the feet of the Rasool (SAAW). She was the first Momina, Namazia, and Musaddiqa of the Risalat in whose presence the Hazoor (SAAW) did not enter in any other Nikah.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi reiterated his resolve not to hesitate in sacrificing all his wealth, belongings and offspring in way of Islam by following in the footsteps of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.) and Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.).
