TNFJ Is being targeted due to pointing out the loop holes in the implementation of the National Action Plan - Shuja'at Bukhari ISLAMABAD, February 17: Syed Shuja'at Ali Bokhari, Secretary General, Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has termed the removal of safety barriers around the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo through police and withdrawal of police guard as a matter of grave concern, tragic and open act of retaliation on the part of Federal Interior Minister in the present precarious situation prevailing in the country. He said the only crime for which this retaliatory action has been taken is that we have shown the mirror to the Federal Interior Minister’s friendship with banned parties and his lack of knowledge about those extremist parties and groups that are included in the list of the banned organisations. He said it seems that perhaps supporters of the Interior Minister in the police department have taken such action to please him. Shuja'at Bokhari said that we would like to apprise the nation through the media that had any untoward incident happened at the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo the whole responsibility of it will rest with the Federal Interior Minister. He made it clear that these barriers were erected by the Administration themselves after a suicide attack. Addressing a Press conference here at National Press Club Thursday, Shujaat Bokhari also demanded from the Chief Justice of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and Chief of the Army Staff to take notice of the retaliatory measures being taken against the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya and the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo. He also demanded from them to form a commission for linking the name of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi with the name of Tehreek-e-Islami so that the situation may become transparent. The TNFJ Secretary General further said that we had occupied the Pakistan Secretariat in the tyrant rule of General Ziaul Haq and had got their religious independence restored through peaceful protest by courting arrest of 14,000 persons. We always keep the integrity and solidarity of the motherland and peace dearer than anything else and would remain so in future, he added. He said that perhaps the Interior Minister has forgotten our history that we can decorate jails with our arrests, can be sent to the gallows and targeted by terrorists but will never leave the path of peace, love and humanity that is why Almighty Allah Has always showered success on us and we hope He Will continue so in future also. He reminded all concerned that in the last general elections and on the occasion of local bodies’ elections, the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya has voted the PML-N candidates on the desire of government party leaders. The TNFJ Political Cell at a Press conference held in Islamabad along with Muslim League (N) leader Iqbal Zafar Jhagra had announced their support for elections. Despite our positive attitude, removal of safety barriers around the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih is not understandable, he added. He explained that these barriers were erected to avoid any attacks. He asked to journalists to visit the area around the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih in Satellite where dozens of such safety barriers are already erected but the administration did not feel to remove them while the barriers erected around the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih which a very sensitive place on the orders of the Interior Ministers speaks of their ill-feeling towards the TNFJ. Shujaat Bokhari said that Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya is the only representative organization of the Maktab-e-Tashih that always keeps the interests of the religion and motherland supreme over all other matters. He said it is the only organization that raised their voice against the menace of terrorism before anyone else, presented the 850-page peace formula to the former Chief Justice of Pakistan Syed Sajjad Ali Shah against terrorism and that was appreciated by the apex court. He said the present government had announced 63 banned groups in 2014 the list of which was issued to the National Assembly by the Interior Minister in which the names of Allama Arif Al-Hussain Shaheed and Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi were mentioned against a banned organization named Tehreek-e-Islam while no organization by that name exists nor the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has any connection with it. In this connection, renowned journalist and columnist Saleem Safi in the Geo News progamme Jirga and in his column published in Daily Jang had lamented the government’s ill-knowledge by linking Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi with the above stated organization and had made it clear that Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya is not included in the banned organisations. He further said that after the Saleem Safi’s programme and column, and the reaction shown by the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya the government did not clarify her point of view, however that list was removed from the NACTA website. Later, they also removed the name of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi mentioned against the banned Tehreek-e-Islami. He said that the Federal Interior Minister in his media talk on 14 January this year presented a new logic that sectarian killings may be separated from terrorism and after taking names of two banned leaders he also took the name of Agha Hamid Moosavi and termed them patriotic and saying in the same breadth that their organizations are banned. In reaction the TNFJ Spokesman issued a clarification saying that the Interior Minister would have gone through the NACTA issued list before giving that statement. He further said the ill-knowledge of the Interior Minister about banned parties has also been proved by the Qazi Faiz Esa’s Quetta Incident Commission Report. He disclosed that TNFJ had also written a letter to the Interior Ministry in this connection. Shujaat Bokhari accused that the Interior Minister got enraged on the Tehreek’s reaction and started retaliatory actions against the TNFJ. His front man Shaikh Aslam hurled threats through phone many a time to the TNFJ leader against issuing statement against the Interior Minister and had even said that to prove Ch. Nisar correct, the name of Moosavi Sahib will be included in the list of banned organisations. They also sent threatening letters to the TNFJ office. As a retaliatory action they have also included the names of TNFJ Provincial Council Balochistan President Sardar Tariq Ahmed Jafri, Islamabad District President Allama Basharat Hussain Imami and some other leaders in the Fourth Schedule. Giving the example of their high-handedness he said the name of TNFJ Provincial Council Balochistan President Sardar Tariq Ahmed Jafri has been included in the Fourth Schedule by attaching him with a banned organization while the local administration had already cleared his name. On enquiring it was revealed that his name was included on the orders of the Interior Minister. |
