The foreign aid being received by religious parties is the root cause of riot even today; there is no Sunni-Shia conflict in Pakistan neither it would be allowed - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, May 23: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of the Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that they will not allow any Shia-Sunni conflict in Pakistan. The foreign aid being received by religious parties is the root cause of riot even today. The statements of those who keep budget in billions should be checked. Operation Raddul Fasaad should move against those who are selling the blood of the nation. The government should give up tailing the extremists with them. Democracy would not have restored had we not raised voice against martial law restriction on religious procession. May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement is the brightened chapter of struggle for religious independence, human rights and Pakistan Ideology. The objective of creation of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya was to carry out struggle to provide opportunities to all Masalak, Makatab and those minorities to spend their life according to their beliefs that had been guaranteed to every citizen of the country by the founders of Pakistan. We don’t want to impose our beliefs on others nor will allow any other to do so. These views were expressed by him while addressing the “Youm-e-Tahaffuz Nazria-e-Pakistan” function organized on the completion of 32 years of May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement.

Agha Moosavi said when the tyrant Ziaul Haq announced to turn Pakistan into a State of a particular group negating the Nazria-e-Asaasi of Pakistan, we challenged the martial law announcement from Ali Masjid making it clear that they will not allow anyone to cause any harm to the Nazria-e-Asaasi of Pakistan. He said when restrictions were imposed on Milad-un-Nabi and Azadari processions in 1984, the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya considering it tantamount to encroachment on religious independence, announced agitation from the Hussaini Mohaz. He said we went to jail ourselves first and then gave a call to the nation to thong the jails in which Sunni brethren also fully supported the TNFJ and we forced the martial law government to bow down by courting 14 thousand arrests during the 8-month long agitation and resultantly the government that was formed after non-party elections exempted religious processions from the Police Act under the Junejo-Moosavi agreement.

The TNFJ chief said that when effort was made to divide the nation through the Private Shariat Bill, we made it clear on the government that Shariat is not enforced through ‘bills’ rather from the good hearts and there is no need of any Shariat Bill in the presence of consensus 1973 Constitution. He said when sectarian and Maslaki parties were pushed into electoral politics just to fail the national political parties, we made it clear that taking part in the electoral politics on Maslak, lingual and sectarian basis is poisonous for the country and the nation and politics should be done on the basis of ideology and services rendered and ultimately this conspiracy also died its own death.

Agha Moosavi said that Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya raised refusal against distribution of money among religious parties by foreign countries and demanded from the government in the 1980 decade to impose ban of the foreign aid to religious parties. Had that demand accepted at that juncture, then the blood game played in the motherland would have stopped much before. He said we unveiled those who talk the language of ‘bullet’ and ‘bad words’ and it is the fruit of our struggle that extremist parties were banned.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the ‘Moosavi Peace Formula’ presented by the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya on the demand of the then Chief Justice of Pakistan Syed Sajjad Ali Shah was declared a historic document by the apex court. He said that each and every line of the National Action Plan reflects that formula presented by us. He said had the government not closed their eyes on the extremist parties for their political interests then the terrorism would have been wiped out till now. He said that some powers were still creating hurdles in way of National Action Plan and Operation Raddul Fasaad and no operation can succeed without putting a hand on them.
