The defeated elements are trying to create post-1977 elections situation in the country; the politicians should exercise wisdom - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, August 13: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the defeated elements are trying to create situation that was earlier created post-1977 elections in the country. The politicians should exercise wisdom otherwise everyone would be in trouble. If the new government gets Pakistan rid of the dominance of chief of the colonial powers i.e. America then the huge mountain of problems will be reduces to debris. The people have inflicted tremendous defeat upon those who are involved in politics on the basis of sect, Masalik and biasness. The national parties should not fall prey to the designs of defeated elements because the country needs to be stabilized. Ziaul Haq tried to sabotage the image of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal in reaction of which Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya came into being. Ziaul Haq involved lingual, provincial and sectarian parties in election so as to break People’s Party and the whole nation is undergoing the damages so caused. This was stated by him while addressing the first session of the two-day Supreme Council meeting of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya which was attended by delegates from all the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, office-bearers of subordinate bodies of the Tehreek, and ulema belonging to Aimma Masajid.

Agha Moosavi said that we have been raising voice against the traders of hatred for the last four decades and are demanding from the governments to impose ban of foreign aid being received by religious parties so as to root out incidents of murder and arson. But unfortunately, he added, the ruling parties had been using these parties as pressure groups instead of implementing our demands and today those very parties are challenging the State dominance. The terrorists and banned parties can be fixed if the National Action Plan is implemented in letter and spirit, he added. He said the dictator Ayub Khan sowed the seed of dividing Pakistan by imposing a 10-year ban on politicians belonging to East Pakistan. Ziaul Haq also sowed the seeds of discrimination and divide and interfered in Afghanistan on American desire and ‘gifted’ the nation with the scourge of heroin, Kalashnikov and terrorism. He said efforts were made to divide the nation by creating the issue of Shariat Bill which was thwarted by us. He said the whole country is bleeding even today owing to martial law steps. The country could only be transformed into a State in line with the ideology of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal by withdrawing the dictatorial measures, he added.

The TNFJ chief lamented that despite giving India access to three rivers in Sindh Tass Pact, access to other rivers was also left with them as a result of which India is building many dams even on Chenab, Jhelum and Sindh rivers. The rulers unaware of national interests paved way for Indian sacrifices to succeed. He said in July 1948, first Nishan-e-Haider was conferred on Major Sarwar Shaheed in the presence of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah while Nara-e-Haideri does not belong to any Maslak or sect but to Islam and Pakistan, therefore it should be restored for the Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

Agha Moosavi said Azadari is the source of our forgiveness and the peaceful protest is the most effective weapon of the oppressed against oppressor. That is why, he added, we came out to fill the jails when Ziaul Haq imposed ban of Milad-un-Nabi and Azadari processions. He said after uncountable sacrifices and more than 14,000 arrests courted during the peaceful agitation, the Junejo-Moosavi agreement signed with Muhammad Khan Junejo was a milestone for a struggle for achievement of religious independence in Pakistan which was earlier guaranteed by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his speech delivered on August 11. He said the Charter of Demand presented by the TNFJ on the occasion of elections is a reflection of deprivation of rights of the Maktab-e-Tashih and the voice of hearts of Millat-e-Jafariya. Those who are forming government at Federal and Provincial levels should ensure the provision of our constitutional rights. He made it clear that we will never withdraw from our legal and constitutional rights. He said it is obligatory for all Masalak, Makatab and provinces to ensure our rights to make Pakistan and real Islamic ideological State.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah said the new government should keep in mind that when rulers are pious and good, are wealthy and generous and the matters are settled with mutual consultation only then the society has the right to be called Islamic. He said there is need to make Nizam-e-Mustafa (SAAW) and Intizam-e-Murtaza (A.S.) as beacon of light to turn the State of Pakistan into a hub of Islam the foundation of which needs strict implementation of justice and fair-play because dearth of justice is the biggest cause of riot, ills and degeneration in society.

Meanwhile, important decisions viz. national and organisational matters will be made in the second session of the Supreme Council meeting in the light of suggestions made by the delegates who have come from all over the country.
