The Chehlum (Arbaeen-e-Hussaini) of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 diehard companions was observed with traditional religious spirit, devotion and respect throughout the world and the country

RAWALPINDI, October 31: The Chehlum (Arbaeen-e-Hussaini) of Shaheed-e-Azam and Mohsin-e-Insaniyyat Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 diehard companions was observed with traditional religious spirit, devotion and respect throughout the world and the country. Matmi processions were taken out in all cities of the country while in Karbala (Iraq) millions of Azadaran gathered and paid pursa of Imam Hussain (A.S.) in Bargah-e-Risalat. In Rawalpindi, main Chehlum procession was taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohallah, Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah Bohar Bazar.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi participated in the procession, offered Ziarat of the taburrakaat and performed Matamdari. Talking to media and Azadars on this occasion, Agha Moosavi said that the rulers will have to give up duplicity in their words and deeds for setting up Madni States. During the last three decades it was for the first time that Control Rooms were not set up at the Ministry of Interior for solution of problems of the Azadaran nor any notification was issued in this connection. The Prime Minister should begin from his home so as to make the campaign against encroachments and illegal constructions. He said the whole world of humanity is echoing with the slogans of Hussainiyyat owing to the Zainabi (S.A.) role. Over 60 million Azadaran are gathered in Karbala and the source of such awareness is the Khutbaat of Hazrat Zainab (S.A.) and Hazrat Zainul Abideen (A.S.) delivered in Karbala and Damascus. He said all prophets including Hazrat Adam (A.S.) also shed tears on the Shahadat of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.). There is a saying of the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) that whoever will shed tears for Hussain (A.S.) he will take those persons to the heaven by holding their hands. The Aseeran-e-Karbala highlighted the philosophy of Shahadat and laid the foundation of Azadari.

The TNFJ chief lamented that President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice and other dignitaries participate in minority festivals and visit churches, gurdwaras and temples but not come in the Azadari processions of benefactor of religion and Shariat Nawasa-e-Rasool Imam Hussain (A.S.). Keeping a distance by elite from Hussainiyyat is big question mark, he added. He said the attitude of ignorance from the Maktab-e-Tashih is tragic. He sensed that conspiracy is being hatched to turn Pakistan into a State of Groupism by diverting from the Nazria-e-Asaasi in an intangible manner but we will not let such a conspiracy succeed. He said wrong image of the Islamic World is being created for the benefit of colonial interests. He said there is no Shia-Sunni conflict throughout the world including Pakistan, Yemen, Shaam, Bahrain, Libya, Qateef, Damam but satanic forces drumbeat the Shia-Sunni conflict while Yemen conflict is being highlighted in a wrong manner. He said they will never allow the conspiracies of Shia-Sunni conflict succeed. He said the crushing the struggle of majority Hothies against the illegal government in Yemen with the help of external interference is not understandable because the outer elements should have supported the Hothies.

Agha Moosavi said that our foreign policy had been a failure, therefore, it should be laid down with a correct direction; less enemies and more friends should be made, long-standing friend Iran should not be ignore as Iran has always helped Pakistan in the time of trial and the reason behind keeping a distance from Iran should be identified. He said China should not be ignored on the CPEC issue. He said according to a saying of the Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abu Talib (A.S.) that friend of the friend and enemy of the enemy are friends. He demanded complete implementation of the National Action Plan so as to check the increasing activities of the banned organisations.

Later, addressing the main gathering of the Chehlum procession at Fawwara Chowk, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi highlighted the invaluable sacrifice of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) for the survival of religion of Islam and humanity. He said whether it is Arbaeen or Azadari, these are the memories of Syeda Binte Ali (S.A.), Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) and Aseeran-e-Karbala who delivered heart-rending Khutbaat in the courts of Yazid and Ibne Ziad and the streets of Kufa and Shaam shattering the Yazidi courts. He said that Azadari processions will continue till the 8th Rabiul Awwal and these processions should be given complete protection under the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement. He also declared to observe the Milada-e-Mustafa with the spirit of oneness and brotherhood. Others who also spoke on the occasion were Ch. Abu Baidar Ali and Dr. N.H. Naqvi.

Later, after performing Zanjeer-Zani at Fawwara Chowk, the participants of the main Chehlum procession reached Raja Bazar and Purana Qila where Zuljinah processions taken out from Imambargah Kashmirian Tyre Bazar, Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh also merged into the main procession. The main Chehlum procession terminated at Imambargah Qadeem after passing through Jamia Masjid Road and Imambara Chowk. Mukhtar Students Organisation District Rawalpindi had set up Azadari Camp at Fawwara Chowk and Mukhtar Organisation had set up Azadari Camp near Imambargah Qadeemii Hussaini Mohaz where MSO and MO workers and children belonging to Mukhtar Generation performed their duties. Ibrahim Scouts had set up Medical Camps at Habib Bank Chowk, Raja Bazar and Jamia Masjid Road to facilitate the Matmis. Office-bearers of Divisional and District Muharram Committees of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya and MF volunteers remained with the procession throughout along with heavy contingent of police.

Meanwhile, according to information reaching the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, Arbaeen-e-Hussaini Chehlum Shuhada-e-Karbala processions were taken out from all small and big cities and town including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sukkur, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Jhang, Sargodha, Layyah, Khushab, Chakwal, Jhelum, Dera Murad Jamali, and Jacobabad.
