6 September was a glimpse of Ghazwa-e-Badar when Pakistan’s armed forces along with the patriotic nation destroyed the pride of the enemy that she possesses in her numeric value - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, September 6: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama Board and Head of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that 6 September was a glimpse of Ghazwa-e-Badar (Youm e Furqan) when Pakistan’s armed forces along with the patriotic nation destroyed the pride of the enemy that she possesses in her numeric value. Pakistani citizens raising slogans of Chalo Wahgay kay border per, Ali Haider Ali Haider, which in English means “Let us go to the Wahgah Border, Ali Haider Ali Haider”, and their spirit to supply all kinds of assistance to their courageous armed forces forced the coward enemy to retreat from the battleground. Indians who were dreaming to have breakfast in Lahore Gymkhana were only able to lick the dust of Wahgah and Barki before escaping to save their lives. Creating differences between armed forces and the civilians is tantamount to paving way for another Dhaka-fall like tragedy therefore; such kinds of conspiracies must be thwarted. If Pakistani nation could revive the spirit of Ghazwa e Badar, then not only one or two but several dams can be built while Pakistan will also become an unconquerable state. Iranian and Indonesian support to Pakistan as well as the American betrayal in the 65 Indo-Pak war will always be remembered. Rulers must learn lessons from the past mistakes to formulate internal and foreign national policy. He said this while addressing to a program held in connection with the defense day of Pakistan.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi noted that during the war of 1965, the nation’s spirit of defending motherland was extraordinary while it was a war of spirit, motivation, firmness, and courageousness in which the coward enemy met a terrible defeat. The enemies of Pakistan must not forget that Pakistani nation still possesses the same spirit that is why the nation and our armed forces jointly crushed the menace of terrorism through unity and solidarity. He said that the Indian imposed war was an open challenge to Pakistan’s constitution, the Two Nation Theory, national solidarity, and the spirit of patriotism which was accepted by the brave nation of Pakistan with complete dignity and honor and proved itself to be a great nation by offering extraordinary sacrifices. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that during the war, the people and armed forces of Pakistan did not get influenced by the numeric edge of the enemy, every Muslim demonstrated the courage of Abbas (A.S) and spirit of Shabbir (A.S) and became a sword of Haider (A.S) for the enemy. Everyone including teachers, students, poets, doctors, volunteers of civil defense, masons, farmers, print and electronic media, mothers, sisters and daughters rose to the occasion and played a vital role in the war. The enemy had not imagined that she will have to deal with an army of not thousands or lacs but crores in number. He said that through the spirit of patriotism and professional competence Pakistan’s courageous armed forces not only stopped the enemy’s aggression at all fronts but also forced her to withdraw from the battlefield. All neutral analysts and defense experts agree to the fact that in this war, Indian losses were several times greater. Sons of the soil like Major Aziz Bhatti sacrificed their lives but did not allow the enemy to put her dirty step on Pakistani soil.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi further said that the enemy used the tactic of creating differences to undermine the spirit of the war of September and got her agents infiltrated in the form of Mukti Bahni to cause the tragic incident of the fall of east Pakistan. The same nation which had defeated a much bigger enemy in 65, fell prey to the conspiracies and lost a part of the country after getting entangled in the internal conflicts and differences. Therefore, a situation where the spirit of the war of Sep 65 needs to be retained, the efforts to avoid root causes of the 71 tragedy must also be kept continued.
