The government should not trample the constitutional and human rights of all nationalities including Shias and Sunnis and force them to take any big step – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, May 5: The Patron-in-Chief of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the government should not trample the constitutional and human rights of all nationalities including Shias and Sunnis and force them to take any big step. Imran Khan may stop taking U-turns on his claims made before coming into power and fulfill all his promises made with the nation including the recovery of the missing persons; demands being made in the sit-ins for recovery of missing persons should be accepted before Ramazan and if there are any charges against anyone then they should be presented before courts. Chiefs of the proscribed parties are roaming about freely, those who call names to security institutions are enjoying government protocol and the poor and abandoned are suffering; the enemy desires to pitch people against security institutions and we shall not let them succeed in doing it. Security institutions should recover the missing persons and bring realities about them to fore so as to accelerate Pakistan’s honour and dignity and for international stability. Pakistan was divided into two by increasing internal differences and golden projects like Kalabagh Dam were buried. The powers that be should learn a lesson from their past mistakes. The United Nations should declare the satanic America-India-India trio as terrorists. The month of Allah is the voice of human rights and the demands of Allah could only be fulfilled by stopping the trampling of human rights. These views were expressed by him while addressing the office-bearers of the Ayyam-e-Istaqbal Ramazan Committee.

Agha Moosavi said that impression is ripe in the whole country owing to which every citizen from Parachinar to Taftan and Gilgit-Baltistan to Karachi is concerned about his security; God knows when he is picked up, and whether the earth has devoured them or taken up in the skies. He said the honour and dignity of the motherland is under the obligation to take action against those who are involved in getting the persons missed. He said under Article 4 of the 1973 Constitution, every citizen has the non-transferable right to have protection of law and he should be treated as per law and no such action should be taken that may cause any damage to his life, freedom, body or property except if a law permits doing so. He said no one can be forced to do such a work that is not necessary under the law. Under Article 10 of the Constitution, he added, detention or arrest of a citizen have to be conveyed to him and he may be given complete right to consult a lawyer and present his defence. Moreover, it is obligatory to present such a person before a Magistrate within 24 hours of his arrest, he added.

The TNFJ chief said America and her agents set up training camps for extremists, trained them and created such situation that promoted terrorism, therefore, trial should be initiated for war crimes against these countries. He said our perpetual enemy India never let any situation go waste to cause harm to Pakistan, imposed wars on Pakistan, promoted separatist movement in East Pakistan through her agents, and threatened Pakistan by carrying out nuclear blast. But, he added, despite all these conspiracies Pakistan has become mole in their eyes as an atomic power while the CPEC has forced the enemies to spend sleepless nights.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi lamented that Pakistan’s all rulers preferred their personal and party interests supreme and kept the interests of the nation and the country behind. The rulers should have become more careful against enemies’ tactics, had it been so then Pakistan would not have to take a bloodbath from terrorism. But, he added, mistakes one after the other weakened the motherland and as a result of these conspiracies of the enemies were allowed to boost. He said Islam is the Millat-e-Wahida and Pakistan’s Constitution stands guarantee to the rights of every citizen. The government will have to play clearest role to thwart the conspiracy of creating differences between Shia, Barelvi, Sindhi, Pushtoon, Siraiki, Hazara and Mohajirs, he concluded.
