To resolve Kashmir issue government should dispatch representative delegations to other countries so that world opinion can be taken into confidence on the matter - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, November 23: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama Board and Head of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has stressed upon the government to present Kashmir issue in Parliament and Senate and subsequently dispatch representative delegations to other countries so that world opinion can be taken into confidence on the matter. The international community must be clearly informed that without resolving Kashmir issue, normalization of relations between Pakistan and India will never be realized. The illegitimate action of abrogating article 370 and 35A to diminish Kashmir’s constitutional status is not only an insult to Kashmiris but the whole Islamic Ummah and a slap on the face of United Nations. This shameful act will always be remembered as a dark chapter in Indian history. While taking this decision, India instead of taking Kashmiris into confidence, put their political leadership in jail and disconnected all ways of communication which proves that India is not a secular state, but it is led by Hindutva ideology in which minorities can only have a status of second-class citizens. He said this while addressing to the members of TNFJ’s Kashmir council on Friday.

Agha Moosavi said that Indian actions have further intensified tension in the region. Not only foreigners are being settled in the occupied Kashmir, but laborers are also tortured, and no one feels safe in occupied Kashmir where people are under siege for the last three months. He said that India is trying to suppress voice of Kashmiris through atrocities however, American congress commission highlighted the real situation of human rights violations in Kashmir to expose reality behind Indian claim of being biggest democracy in the world while the commission also expressed concerns over the threats faced by minorities in other Indian held territories. He mentioned that India has not been allowing human rights activists to enter occupied Kashmir to hide her barbaric actions in the valley however, it does not mean that the world is unaware of the gravity of situation lasting for the last 110 days. He lamented that international powers fear that putting pressure on India to stop human rights violations in Kashmir may result in losing Indian market as the evil powers and their Muslim stooges are only concerned about their business interests which indeed is a brutal fact that has left 8 to 9 million Kashmiris suppressed under Indian oppression for the last seventy five years. Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that if the chief of colonial powers act upon the suggestions of American Congress Commission, world can move towards resolution of Kashmir dispute however, international powers use their powers of protecting human rights only against weak countries as evident from their involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen.
