We can kiss martyrdom but can never accept any sanctions on Azadari; the governments often present Muharram as a dangerous occasion, we never fear from danger or death as we are the followers of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and love death as much as a child loves the milk of his mother - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, September 12: Like rest of the world, Ashura was commemorated in the memory of the holy Prophet’s grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and his 72 faithful companions across Pakistan including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan with traditional respect and spirit. The central procession of Rawalpindi was brought out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohalla which was led by Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. The procession included the effigies of Zuljanah, Alam e Abbas, Taaziya, Taboot and Gehwara Shahzada Ali Asghar (A.S). While talking to media and Azadars on the occasion, Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Haid Ali Shah Moosavi said that we can kiss martyrdom but can never accept any sanctions on Azadari. Governments often present Muharram as a dangerous occasion, we never fear from danger or death as we are the followers of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and love death as much as a child loves the milk of his mother. We have always cooperated with the administration for peace and to thwart evil designs of the enemies however, neither our forefathers nor shall we accept any sanction against Azadari. Those who call themselves Jihadis must turn themselves towards Jihad in Kashmir rather than killing other Muslims. We accepted imprisonments and jails only to thwart sanctions imposed on Azadari by a dictator and consequently obtained the “Moosavi-Junejo agreement” which eliminated sanctions from Azadari. He stressed that government must not deviate from Moosavi-Junejo agreement and warned that whoever collides with Hussainis gets destroyed.

Agha Moosavi lamented that it is the first time that the federal government has not established Muharram Cells in capital. A traditional mourning procession in Okara was baton-charged to follow Modi, local administration of Rawalpindi and Islamabad cooperated however, in some other cities Azadars have been severely disturbed by the actions of administration. He further stressed that Kashmir is our jugular vein while due to its discriminatory attitude towards Muslims, UN is not pushing for a plebiscite in Kashmir. Trying the same repeatedly is ignorance, Pakistan waited for seventh fleet in past, therefore, American claims of mediation must not be able to befool Pakistan. Islam and the family of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) are preachers of peace who always adopted defensive strategy and never involved in aggression. We are one against the enemy and any attack on Pakistan will be reciprocated with a jaw-breaking response. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that after listening the account of his martyrdom in future, the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) wept for Imam Hussain (A.S) and told that a group of mutineers from Banu Ummaya will kill my son. Imam Hussain (A.S) had refused to pledge allegiance to Yazeed who was openly involved in evil deeds by saying that A man like me can never pledge allegiance to someone like him. Imam Hussain (A.S) saved the sanctity of Kaaba, Hussain never belongs to any particular sect rather he is the hero of the whole world of humanity. Mourning processions including Zuljanah and Taaziya were brought out from Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain College Road, and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah also. The central procession of Ashura after reaching Fawara chowk transformed into a big gathering where Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi addressed thousands of Azadars and highlighted the philosophy of martyrdom along with the tragic events of Ashura besides thanking the district administration for better arrangements and media for providing coverage to the Ashura programs.

On this occasion, the spokesman District Muharram Committee of TNFJ Syed Abu Nasam Bukhari presented the resolution of Ashura which stated that Maktab e Tashayyo played a vital role in the creation of Pakistan and made it successful as the wisdom and foresightedness of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah defeated the anti-Pakistan forces at all fronts while even today, Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi is working for the safety and strengthening of Pakistan even today who successfully thwarted every conspiracy of deviating Pakistan from its founding ideology. The resolution said that we want to remind the world that we will keep defending the ideology of Pakistan and will never allow Pakistan fall prey to the evil politics of foreign funded elements. The resolution thanked the administration in Rawalpindi and Islamabad for their cooperation however, condemned the illegitimate actions against Azadari programs by the local administration in Lahore, D.G.Khan, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sahiwal, Vehari, Shikarpur, Jamshoro, and Sukkur where Azadars were threatened and suppressed without any reason and Majalis and processions were curbed by lodging FIRs even against ladies Majalis. The resolution questioned the government if they impose similar NOC for the programs of Soyam and Chehlums? The resolution said that the attitude of a second class citizens will not be tolerated for Maktab e Tashayyo. Resolution also condemned attacks on the mourning processions of Chung and Kot Lakhpat in Lahore and demanded from the government to clutch culprits with iron-hands besides offering best medical treatment to the injured Azadars. The resolution also strongly condemned the articles published in the Daily Ausaf’s 9th Muharram edition which included disrespecting information about Shahzadi Sakeena bint-al-Hussain (A.S) and the family of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) and declared it an attempt of creating unrest in the society during Muharram ul Haram. The resolution also demanded to stop music programs on electronic media and condemned the channels still running such programs while terming the practice as violation of Islamic values. The resolution further condemned the construction of Jewish settlements on the land of Palestinians and the curfew imposed inside the occupied Kashmir while urging the government of Pakistan to take practical steps for the resolution of Kashmir issue rather than relying upon mere protests. The resolution stated that the Majalis and processions of Ayyam e Aza that started from 1st of Muharram will continue till 8th of Rabi ul Awal with full pace. The resolution vowed to abide by the code of Azadari announced by the Quaid e Millat e Jafariy Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi and complete support for the armed forces of Pakistan engaged in anti-terrorist operation of Raddul Fasaad as well as protecting the geographical borders of the motherland. Another resolution vowed to continue struggle for the religious rights while ensuring adherence to the five principles laid by the Headquarter Maktab e Tashayyo i.e. Wilayat e Ali (A.S), Azadari e Hussian (A.S), Hurmat e Sadaat, Respect of Marjaiyat and Markaziyat. Chaudhary Mushtaq Hussain and Syed Wajih Kazmi also addressed the Majlis e Aza at Fawara chowk which was followed by the matam of Zanjeer by thousands of Azadars. Later, the mourning procession of Ashura was also joined by several other processions brought out from Imambargah Shaheedan Karbala Tire Bazar and Shah Chan Charagh as it reached Raja Bazar and Purana Qila.
