The newly created uniform academic course is contradictory to the Holy Quran and Sunnah and violates Pakistan founding ideology - Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi demands the cancellation of the course

ISLAMABAD, June 19: Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya has termed the newly created uniform academic course is contradictory to the Holy Quran and Sunnah and violation of Pakistan's founding ideology. In his reactionary statement issued from the Headquarter of Maktab e Tashayyo, Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that Pakistan was founded on the basis of two-nation theory that is based upon Deen e Muhammadi (PBUH&HP). If a law in contradiction with the Quran and Sunnah cannot be formed in the country then the academic course cannot be created or changed either. He further warned that TNFJ will not refrain from taking a big step to protect the spirit of constitution and future of the nation. The new course is a conspiracy to defame the government and disintegrate the nation. Maktab e Tashayyo was not taken onboard in preparation of the new course from day one. Proscribed organizations are not accepted as representatives. The new course is contradictory to the ideologies of established schools of thought and reflects a specific ideology that was promoted during Zia ul Haq’s martial law therefore, it can become a source of conflict in the society. The constitution of Pakistan in its article 227 guarantees that the interpretation of the Holy Quran and Sunnah will be acceptable if it is in accordance with the interpretation of any sect however, the new course is an attempt to intervene and alter ideologies of established schools of thought and create sectarian rift. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi demanded that the ideologies of one sect must not be imposed upon others while the text books printed as per new course must be cancelled. He said that the article 228 has already been violated by inducting members in the Council of Islamic ideology, Ulama Board and other similar institutions founded for Islamization, who are either foreign funded/sponsored, sympathizers of proscribed organizations or selected on the basis of personal likings. Members who are biased and working for foreign agendas must be expelled from the constitutional institutions. After finalizing the course, it must be publicized so that relevant experts could point out its mistakes and shortcomings. Agha Moosavi said that academic course plays a vital role in students’ training which is why it is extracted from the national culture, history, religious as well as the worldly knowledge to be able to nurture a true nation. Pakistan’s divisive education system widening distance among different social sectors is like a disease that all parties including the current government had vowed to cure by introducing a uniform education system however, it is a matter of grave concern that as soon as the new text books of Class-1 to Class-5 have come up, they have met with serous criticism and reservations raised bt the nation and specially by the established schools of thought as the new course is expected to entangle the nation in further problems due to the biased approach adopted in its creation and fatal mistakes in its contents. Agha Moosavi said that the new course has tried to demote the status of holy Prophet’s mother Hazrat Amna (S.A) and his forefathers (A.S). The sacred hands that brought up the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) with unmatchable love and care have been devalued while those who deviated from Islam to Malookiyat have been glorified. The new course has attempted to hide or reduce the status of Ahl e e Bait e Rasool (A.S) while according to the Shiah e Sitta (the set of Six books including holy Prophet’s sayings), the Quran and Ahl-e-Bait (A.S) provide guaranteed protection for the Ummah against falsehood. The Imam e Azam of Ahl-e-Sunnah Hazrat Abu Haneefa had stated that the respect of Aaima e Ahl-e-Bait (A.S) is obligatory for me in the same way as the respect of holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) was obligatory for Sahaba e Karam (R.A) (Reference: Almanaqib lil Mofiq, Page 168). However, it is tragic that from Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) to Imam Mehdi (A.S), not a single chapter about the Aaima e Ahl-e-Bait (A.S) has been included in text books whereas Imam Shaafi said that even Namaz could not find acceptance without reciting darood on Ahl-e-Bait (A.S).  Agha Moosavi said that reducing or glorifying the status and qualities of Mashaheer e Islam (Islamic heroes) is like a joke with the religion and Shariah which will open a pandora box that no one will be able to close. He said that entering manmade words in Namaz actually nullifies the Namaz, then why the same has been done with respect to the name of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP)?

Agha Moosavi said that the history has been amended in the new course which has shocked the nation. Hence, introducing a new Shariah and a new religion must be avoided for God’s sake. He said that Barelvis and Ahl-e-Tashayyo constitute most of Pakistan’s population however, their belief has been negated in the new course by negating the use of Waseela in Dua (supplications) from Almighty Allah while the holy Quran includes clear directive of using Waseela which is why the Prophet’s among human beings, Khana Kaba among objects, Quran among books and even Dua and Namaz have been declared as Waseela.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the new course will create new problems that will prove to be fatal for the national unity and stability. Government must not fall hostage to the pro-congress/anti-Pakistan elements and the remnants of Zia ul Haq’s martial law. Our beloved motherland must not be thrown back to the same mud that we got freed from by sacrificing more than seventy-five thousand precious lives of Pakistan’s armed forces and civilians. Pakistan cannot afford to fall in another trap.
