Moosavi Junejo Accord of 1985 is the stepping stone in the defence of founding ideology of Pakistan; no powers will be allowed to weaken its foundation - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of the Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that protection of Two-Nation Theory is our national and religious motto for which no sacrifice will be spared. If the rulers, politicians and all citizens want to make Pakistan strong, stable and the cradle of peace then the implementation of the agreement will have to be ensured, deviating from the Two-Nation Theory should be declared a cognizable offence and equal rights to all schools of thought be ensured. The aim of Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh-e- Jafariya is to protect and uphold the basic ideology. We have foiled the conspiracy to turn the country into a sectarian state, as a result of which today the official religion of Pakistan under Article 2 of the Constitution Islam is not a specific sect but Islam. This was stated by him in his special message addressed to the “Tahaffuz Nazria Pakistan Conference” held at Ali Hall under the auspices of MO and MSO, presided over by Secretary General TNFJ and elderly National Leader Syed Shujaat Ali Bukhari.

Agha Moosavi said the National Action Plan is a reflection of the Moosavi Peace Formula presented in the Supreme Court. It is necessary to implement all its provisions to eradicate the roots of terrorism and extremism, he added. He said some forces desire to prove that Pakistan is a violent and secular state. “We can sacrifice our lives but would not allow anyone to trample ideological foundations of Pakistan,” he added.

In his message, the TNFJ chief said that immense loss was inflicted on Islam in the name of Shariat in the 11-year era of Zia era’s tyranny; Shariat-e-Mustafvi was made rife as terrorism and as the religion of punishments which is contrary to Islam and mere accusation. He said the tyrant ruler who did not bow down before the MRD movement, the TNFJ made him bow down in front of them. He said that as a result of peaceful 8-month long agitation from the platform of Hussaini Mohaz May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Agreement was signed. He said more than 14,000 Shia and Sunni brethren and eight Christians voluntarily courted arrests during this agitation but no damage was done to the public or private property.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Moosavi stressed that Milad-un-Nabi and mourning are the souls of the religion, we can sacrifice our lives but we will not allow the spirit of religion to be taken away with.

Meanwhile, delivering the presidential address at the “Tahaffuz Nazria Pakistan Conference” Secretary General TNFJ Syed Shujaat Ali Bukhari clarified that the Junejo-Moosavi Agreement signed on May 21, 1985 guarantees taking out of Milad-un-Nabi, Azadari and religious processions. He vowed that their practical struggle for the protection of the country will continue with integrity and honesty and they will not allow any bargaining over the unity and solidarity of their motherland, their beliefs and rights.

The participants of the Conference adopted a resolution presented by TNFJ’s Syed Bu Ali Mehdi unanimously in which they resolved not the spare any sacrifice for the sovereignty, stability of the motherland and for the rights of the Millat-e-Jafariya. Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Shaukat Abbas Jafari, Zulfiqar Ali Raja, Deputy Chairman Mukhtar Organization Huzaifa Yamani addressed the conference, and Central President Mukhtar Students Organization Muhammad Ali Bangash also addressed the Conference.
