ISLAMABAD, November 6: The Secretary General Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Pakistan Syed Shujaat Ali Bukhari has welcomed rejection of The Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2021 (Article-24A) by the Senate’s standing committee for Law and Justice and termed it as a success of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya. Addressing to the central cabinet of TNFJ, he clarified that different sects have diverse views and interpretation about women’s share of inheritance in movable and immovable property whereas purpose of the constitution of Pakistan is to define rights for all citizens regardless of sectarian discrimination. Therefore, ignoring the diversity of different sects, if sectarian level opinions will be included in the constitution then the constitution will always remain incomplete and unimplementable. Syed Shujaat Bukhari said that before this, a similar controversial amendment bill in Muslim Family Laws was introduced and also passed by the National Assembly however, Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi took notice of the bill and outrightly rejected it as it was found to be contradictory with the principles of Fiqah Jafariya. After this, efforts to intimate the legislating institutions and key persons about the defects of the bill were made on emergency basis and made it clear that any law violating the directives of Fiqah Jafriya will never be acceptable for the followers of Fiqah Jafariya. After this, the bill was then rejected by the Senate’s standing committee. He said that after the family laws amendment bill, the aforesaid amendment bill in constitution of Pakistan is another attempt of making the same mistake. This constitution amendment bill was also passed by the National Assembly without due consideration. He reminded that before this, the curriculum issued under the title of SNC also reflects views of a particular sect only which is unacceptable. Syed Shujaat Bukhari stressed upon the relevant authorities take check who are those elements that through such controversial bills try to damage repute of the legislating institutions and the erasing people’s confidence from the elected members. He said that TNFJ’s efforts are for the glory of religion and motherland as well as achievement of constitutional rights because instead of a particular sect Pakistan was founded on the name of Islam that is the favorite religion of Almighty Allah. He stressed that for the stability and bright future of Pakistan, it is extremely important that diversity of views among different sects is respected and rights of all sections of society are delivered equally. |
