Matami Protests on the call of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, were held across Pakistan on Sunday, 25^th of Rajab against steps contrary to the ideology and constitution of Pakistan as well as discrimination against the followers of Maktab e Tashayyo

ISLAMABAD, February 28: Matami Protests on the call of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, were held across Pakistan on Sunday, 25^th of Rajab against steps contrary to the ideology and constitution of Pakistan as well as discrimination against the followers of Maktab e Tashayyo. On this occasion, Matami protest rallies were held in all big and small cities of Pakistan, voice of protest raised in the Majalis and Jaloos of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S). The protests were lodged against unjust restrictions on Azadari, implementation of discriminatory national curriculum, anti-constitutional amendment in Muslim Family Laws, unchecked activities of extremists, and continued incidents of disrespecting sacred personalities and religious sites. The central Matami protest rally was brought out from Imambargah G-6/2 Islamabad to the parliament house which was participated by thousands of Azadars and Matamis. The rally was led by the central secretary General of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Syed Shujaat Ali Bukhari, Allama Bisharat Hussain Imami, Haji Ghulam Murtaza Chouhan, Agha Murtaza Moosavi, Agha Ali Rooh ul Abbas Moosavi besides several other Ulama and dignitaries. Upon reaching the parliament house, the rally was transformed into a Matami congregation where Allama  Bisharat Hussain Imami addressed and read the special message of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. In his message, Agha Moosavi said that government must not consider Maktab e Tashayyo’s peacefulness and patriotism as weakness. Continued attacks on Pakistans founding ideology and believes urged us to take first step as Matami protest. If the government refrains from taking decisions inline with the spirt of constitution and beliefs of Maktab e Tashayyo, then a bigger protest can also be announced. Agha Moosavi said that Azadari is the most effective and peaceful protest which has kept frightened the dictators and Yazeeds of every era. Dance parties are allowed while restrictions on Zikr e Hussain are against the Islamic ideology. Azadari granted eternity protest of oppressed right from the worst terrorism in Karbala to the dungeon of Baghdad. There exists an unannounced restriction on the Zikr of the heroes of Islam on Pakistan’s national media. The shrine of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S) that was visited by the renowned Ulamas of Ahl e Sunnah like Imam Shafai for the acceptance of his prayers, yet the media is completely silent on the martyrdom anniversary of that Imam (A.S). By disrespecting the mother of holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) in the national curriculum, the hearts of Muslims have been hurt. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi vowed to not let Pakistan fall into the hands of Nasibis and Kharijites funded by foreign countries. While addressing to the Matami protest, Allama Bisharat Hussain Imami said that if the government does not accept our justified demands and constitutional rights, then we will not refrain from taking a bigger step on the call of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to save the ideological foundation of the country. Responding to the call of Matami protest, the followers of Haider e Karrar (A.S) held Matami protests across the cities and towns of Pakistan to prove that they are willing to kiss martyrdom but will not compromise their faith. On this occasion, a resolution presented by Syed Abu Nasam Bukhari clarified that extremism is being spread as per a foreign conspiracy. Constitution is being bulldozed through discriminatory legislation, Zikr e Hussain (A.S) is being banned even within the house in a country that was obtained on the name of La ilaha. Dance and musical parties can be held in the houses, standiums and chowks of the country however, taking name of those who protected Islam is being penalized through FIRs. The resolution lamented that Indian and English songs can be played in the houses and programs however, the Noha of the holy Prophet’s daughter the lady of heavns cannot be recited. Conditions of obtaining a certificate from the CII before coming to the Mimber e Hussain (A.S) is strictly condemnable. Restricting Zikr e Hussain (A.S) is false dream of Nasibis and Kharijites. He said that we will never compromise on Azadri e Syed ul Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S). The resolution rejected the SNC developed by the proscribed organizations while the Shia nation rejects those miscreants who signed the curriculum with acceptance. History has been distorted in the SNC, the Zikr of Ahl e Bait was omitted while women and minorities were made fun of in the SNC. The resolution mentioned that Family Laws Bill is an attack on Shia personal laws and religious freedom that was assured by the constitution as well as the founders of Pakistan. The resolution regretted that the organizations proscribed due to their involvement in killing thousands of countrymen, are now being appeased through controversial legislation. Abusing Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in presence of government ministers is shameful. Inducting proscribed groups in committees and institutions to represent Maktab e Tashayyo is strongly condemnable. The resolution stated that there exists black sheep in the administration who have been booking innocent and peace-loving people in Schedule-IV only to protect the real proscribed organizations while also deceive Pakistan’s armed forces and the state. While condemning the incidents of blasphemy against Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S), Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A), Hazrat Ali (A.S), Aaima e Ahl e Bait (A.S) Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S), Hazrat Imam Mehdi (A.S), besides Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi, the resolution also mentioned that the Alam e Mubarak in Mangla, Asadabad was disrespected while the holy Quran was tore apart however, the administration is unwilling to register even an FIR. Ahl e Tashayyo are faced with the discriminatory behavior in the country. Sikh Yatris can come from India to visit Kartarpur however, pilgrims in Orakzai are banned to visit the shrine of Badshah Anwar Ghag. By removing the historic plate of Ali ul Wali Ullah from the shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam in Islamabad, the rules of Auqaf were violated. An extremist Mufti disrespected Ameer ul Momineen Hazrat Ali ibn-e-Abi Talib (A.S) but it was said that he has issued his clarification whereas Shia Zakireen are put in jails and punished on mere guesses and assumptions despite the fact that Shia Maktab considers disrespecting any other Maktab as against the teachings of Muhammad o Aal e Muhammad (PBUT). The Convener of Matami protest Alhaaj Ghulam Murtaza Chohan, Allama Saqlain Bukhari, Syed Naseer Hussain Sabzwari, Jameel Qureshi, Abbas Raza and Taqi Awan also addressed the congregation. Alhaaj Ghulam Murtaza Chohan thanked the participants of the Matami protest, meanwhile, according to the information received in the headquarter Maktab e Tashayyo, protest rallies were held from Ancholi Imambargah to Shahrah e Pakistan in Karachi, Press Club Lahore, Press Club Peshawar, Press Club Larkana, Hazara Town Quetta, Darbar Inayat Wali Muzaffar, Indus Highway Khairpur, Main Bazar Bagh, Taunsa Chowk Mian Channu, 45 Block Dera Ghazi Khan, Mardan Press Club, Kacha Pakka Sherkot, Press Club Kohat, Press Club Mureedkay, Sukkur Press Club and several other cities and towns of the country.
