ISLAMABAD,
April
21: In connection with the martyrdom anniversary of the great
benefactor of humanity, the fountainhead of knowledge and wisdom,
and the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (A.S),
the globally observed *Ashra-e-Sadiq Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S)*,
initiated by the late spiritual leader of the Shia community, Agha
Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, is being commemorated under the special
directive of the head of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Allama
Hussain Muqaddasi. The observance reaffirms the commitment to the
restoration of Islamic heritage, the eradication of hatred and
violence, and the advancement and unity of the Islamic world in
scientific and academic fields.
In this
context, the Mukhtar Organization (MO) organized a matami
protest rally from the National Press Club to Constitution
Avenue, Islamabad. Participants of the rally raised their voice
of protest against the on-going terrorism, killings,
instability, and extremism in the country, as well as the
destruction and desecration of the sacred Islamic sites.
Specific condemnation was directed at the demolition of the
shrines of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (A.S), other infallible Imams (A.S),
revered companions, and the mothers of the believers in Jannat
al-Baqi and Jannat al-Mu'alla. Religious scholars, senior
leaders of the MO from central and district levels, and the
heads of matami organizations led the rally. A resolute
expression of solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan was
also conveyed during the event.
While
addressing the gathering at D-Chowk, the Co-Chairman of Mukhtar
Organization, Syed Hassan Kazmi, stated that humanity is trapped
in a satanic, imperialist, and Zionist siege. Oppression,
bloodshed, and barbarism have plagued the world. He criticized
rulers allied with global oppressors and declared that the only
fitting response is the one given by the Master of Khaybar to
Marhab and Antar. He condemned the atrocities being committed in
Kashmir and Palestine and lamented the silence and fearfulness
of Muslim rulers who secretly submit to Western powers despite
their public rhetoric.
A unanimous
resolution presented by MO additional secretary general Malik
Abu Zamar emphasized the need for Muslim nations to eliminate
internal divisions and to foster good will and openness. The
resolution welcomed the recent high-level interactions and
visits between Saudi Arabia and Iran, especially the visit of
the Saudi defence minister to Iran, considering it a positive
sign for the Islamic world. It suggested that a joint emergency
OIC summit hosted by Iran and Saudi Arabia could have been an
effective response to Israeli aggression.
The
resolution deplored the century-long destruction of the sacred
shrines in Jannat al-Baqi and Jannat al-Mu'alla, where resting
are revered personalities including Lady Fatimah Zahra (S.A),
Imam Hasan (A.S), Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S), Imam Muhammad al-Baqir
(A.S), Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (A.S), and others. It called on
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to announce the restoration of
these sacred sites, which would heal wounded hearts of the
Muslim Ummah and strike a significant blow against extremism.
The
resolution further demanded that the United Nations implement
its January 21, 2021 resolution entitled *“Promotion of a
culture of peace and tolerance to safeguard religious
sites”*—originally proposed by Saudi Arabia—by taking practical
steps towards the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi and Jannat
al-Mu’alla. It called on global heritage organizations to break
their silence and play their vital role to preserve Islamic and
human cultural heritage.
Solidarity
was expressed with the oppressed people of Palestine and
Indian-occupied Kashmir, condemning the Zionist terrorism in
Gaza, Indian state terrorism in Kashmir, and American aggression
in Yemen. The resolution also voiced grave concern over threats
to Islamic symbols and condemned the imposition of a
controversial and biased single national curriculum. The
previous unconstitutional restrictions imposed on mourning
commemorations (Azadari) of Imam Hussain (A.S) were also
denounced.
Further
demands included the strengthening of ties with neighbouring
Muslim countries and prioritizing relationships with all Islamic
nations, including Iran and Saudi Arabia, in the national
interest. The revival of mega economic projects such as the
Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline was emphasized.
The
resolution strongly supported Pakistan Armed Forces for their
bravery against terrorism and condemned attacks in Balochistan,
Jaffer Express incident, Waziristan, and other regions. It was
asserted that no sectarian conflict exists in Pakistan and that
such acts of terrorism are the handiwork of the eternal enemy,
India. The implementation of the National Action Plan and a
complete ban on proscribed organizations facilitating external
enemies was also demanded.
The
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was urged to establish
an *Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq International University* to promote
scientific progress and education in the Muslim world, offer
scholarships in his name, and establish research
institutions to continue his
legacy.
Finally, the
resolution paid heartfelt tribute to the untiring efforts of the
great spiritual leader Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi for
safeguarding Muslim heritage and pledged that the peaceful
protest will continue until the sanctity and grandeur of the
sacred shrines is restored. The participants vowed allegiance to
Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi’s leadership and resolved to
remain steadfast in their mission for the protection of Shia
rights, propagation of unity, and upholding the dignity of the
religion and homeland. |
