Fool proof security arrangements must be ensured during the Chehlum of Shuhadae Karbala (Arbaeen e Hussaini) - TNFJ

RAWALPINDI, August 2: The Secretary General of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria Pakistan (TNFJ), Allama Raja Basharat Hussain Imami, has announced that the Global Days of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini, established by Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, will be observed from 18 to 20 Safar to commemorate the Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala, in accordance with the announcement made by the Chief of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria Pakistan.

In a statement issued from the TNFJ Central Headquarters at Ali Masjid, Allama Imami urged the government to make special security arrangements across the country on 20 Safar-ul-Muzaffar for the observance of Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala and Arbaeen-e-Hussaini. He stated that the annual journey of millions of pilgrims towards Karbala during Arbaeen-e-Hussaini is a testament to devotion to Hussainiyat and a symbol of the defeat of terrorism. He called upon the governmentے to provide special security, similar to Ashura arrangements, for the major Chehlum processions scheduled across Pakistan on Tuesday, 20 Safar-ul-Muzaffar, and to ensure the holding of all traditional and licensed mourning processions and gatherings under the Moosavi-Junejo Agreement of May 21, 1985.

He further stated that people from all schools of thought will observe the Global Days of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini from 18 to 20 Safar to pay tribute to the unparalleled sacrifice of the Holy Prophet's grandson. The observances will commence on Sunday.

Allama Basharat Hussain Imami said that the greatness of Imam Ali al-Ridha, who embraced martyrdom in defence of the religion of the Holy Prophet, remains deeply engraved in the hearts of Muslims across the world. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of TNFJ and its affiliated departments on Saturday, 17 Safar, on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha, marking the conclusion of the Ten Days of the Captives of Karbala.

He recalled that, according to Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, celebrations of the birth anniversaries of the Ahlul Bayt and mourning commemorations paved the way for the creation of Pakistan and defeated British oppression. He maintained that mourning is the most peaceful form of protest by the oppressed, and that no religion, state, or constitution has the right to deprive people of peaceful protest.

He stressed that adherence to Hussainiyat is essential to overcome Zionism and imperialism, adding that mourning stands above all other causes and the grief of Imam Hussain surpasses every other sorrow. He declared that neither their forefathers, nor they themselves, nor future generations would ever bow before oppression.

He further stated that the Code of Mourning issued by the Chief of TNFJ, Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi, will continue to be implemented in full until 8 Rabi-ul-Awwal. He emphasized that mourning gatherings and processions represent the peaceful protest of the oppressed and would never be sacrificed for political interests. He reaffirmed that the peaceful struggle against oppression and brutality would continue in accordance with the teachings of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Following the conclusion of the Ten Days of the Captives of the Household of the Holy Prophet, a mourning gathering was held at Umm-ul-Baneen Waqf Imambargah, Jamia Al-Murtaza, G-9/4, Islamabad, where Khateeba Shah-e-Mashriqain Apa Syeda Hussain addressed the congregation and highlighted the virtues and sufferings of Imam Ali al-Ridha. After the gathering, a symbolic coffin procession was taken out, during which various mourning groups presented elegies.

Meanwhile, at Ali Masjid, the Headquarters of Maktab-e-Tashayyu, a mourning gathering organized by Syed Ziaf Haider was addressed by Maulana Waqar Naqvi, Awwab Moosavi, Qasim Imami, and Ali Raza Rizvi, who paid tribute through speeches and elegies. At the Central Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah in Bohar Bazaar, Rawalpindi, a mourning gathering was addressed by Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi. A mourning gathering and coffin procession in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali al-Ridha also commenced from Haideri Manzil on Abid Majeed Road under the supervision of Dost Muhammad Haideri and his family.
