Rawalpindi Chief of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria, Agha
Syed Hussain Muqaddasi, has said that Pakistan is the outcome of
Allama Iqbal's vision and the practical struggle of Muhammad Ali
Jinnah, and the country will not be allowed to become a victim
of self-serving politics. He stated that, according to Quaid
Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, Quaid-e-Azam
maintained close contact with the distinguished religious
scholars of Najaf Ashraf, whose support and prayers played an
important role in the establishment of Pakistan. He expressed these views while addressing the central Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid and Imambargah Ahl-e-Bait Mojza Gah, Wah Cantonment, on August 14, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. On this occasion, Agha Hussain Muqaddasi also announced the observance of the Global Week of Covenant from 1st to 8th Rabi-ul-Awwal in connection with the farewell to the Days of Mourning established by Quaid Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari. He said that the pure successors of the Holy Prophet from the family of Muhammad not only preserved Islam but also protected it while remaining above all forms of extremism and negligence. Allama Muqaddasi stated that the importance of covenants and commitments has always been recognized by religions, nations, and civilizations. He noted that the Holy Prophet emphasized the significance of fulfilling promises and clearly declared that anyone who believes in Allah and the Day of Judgment is obligated to honor his commitments because a person who does not fulfill his covenant has no true religion. On the occasion of Covenant Week, Agha Muqaddasi urged the followers of Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad to dedicate their energies to defending and strengthening religion and Shariah, which, according to him, is another name for Hussainiyat, while remaining inspired by the spirit of patriotism. He also called upon Pakistan's leadership to ensure equal rights for all schools of thought and to foil any conspiracy aimed at transforming the country, which was established through the sacrifices of both Shia and Sunni communities, into a state representing only one particular school of thought. He appealed to all Pakistanis to participate in the mourning gatherings and processions organized during Covenant Week and to offer sincere prayers for the dignity and honor of the Muslim world, for oppressed people across the globe, and for the peace, security, and stability of Pakistan. Chief of TNFJ Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi stressed that, while recognizing Pakistan's leadership as the fortress of Islam, the entire Muslim Ummah should unite on a common platform to safeguard collective interests rather than pursuing self-centered political agendas, as the true dream of freedom cannot be realized without such unity. He further clarified that, according to the teachings of Agha Moosavi, Pakistan remains the foremost priority. Therefore, if the country is to become a true center of Islam, extremist banned organizations must be brought under strict control, as many continue to operate under different names. He proposed that, under the Moosavi Peace Formula, all political activities of prohibited organizations, as well as their media coverage, should be banned. Agha Muqaddasi also reaffirmed the commitment that the entire Pakistani nation stands firmly behind the armed forces of Pakistan, which continue to confront the aggression of the country's eternal enemy and have successfully broken the backbone of terrorism. He urged the government to make special security arrangements for the farewell Tazia and Alam processions of the Days of Mourning and for the processions carrying the symbolic coffin of Imam Hasan al-Askari, which will be held across the country on 8th Rabi-ul-Awwal. He also called upon the media to provide these events with extensive and prominent coverage. Meanwhile, TNFJ has constituted a committee to organize the Global Week of Covenant. Bawa Syed Farzand Ali Shah Kazmi has been appointed as the convener of the committee, while Professor Samar Naqvi will serve as its secretary. |
